Has the NFL brass lost their minds? Now their increasing political correctness is extending to opposing gun rights.

Daniel Defense, one of the nation’s leading manufacturers and retailers in the firearms industry, was willing to pay top dollar for a commercial in the 2014 NFL Super Bowl. But the commercial -- emphasizing personal responsibility, family security, and fundamental rights -- was rejected “due to the rules the NFL has set into place for [Daniel Defense’s] category,” according to Guns & Ammo.

But Daniel's Defense does not even violate them...

The NFL’s Advertising Policy addresses several Prohibited Advertising Categories, including guidelines for ads featuring alcohol, video games, movies, prescription drugs, and, of course, firearms.

The firearms portion of the NFL’s Prohibited Advertising Categories states:

“5. Firearms, ammunition or other weapons are prohibited; however, stores that sell firearms and ammunitions (e.g., outdoor stores and camping stores) will be permitted, provided they sell other products and the ads do not mention firearms, ammunition or other weapons.”

According to these guidelines, Daniel Defense’s Super Bowl commercial does not violate NFL policy for two reasons:

·Daniel Defense has a brick-and-mortar store, where they sell products other than firearms such as apparel.

·The commercial itself does not mention firearms, ammunition or weaponry.

So the 62-second ad features NO firearms, and Daniel Defense was even willing to swap out the company’s rifle logo at the end of the ad with an American flag -- but the NFL rejected them a second time.

The ad complies will all league rules and regulations, but the NFL considers the ad to be too offensive to air.

Do you find this ad "offensive"...?

The NFL has convinced its players to wear pink. They should start calling it the Barbie Football League. Testosterone scares the **** out of them these days. There's too much testosterone in this ad.

THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA’s commercial agents

disagree with

FOOTBALL, as a forum, to air

PAID ADVERTISING

regarding the DEFENSE of core CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS.

“The Land of the Free.”

(as long as we don’t offend a soul, in the courts, on the field, or anywhere else.)

What a sham.

The NFL just hasn’t been the same since Fran Tarkenton, Johnny Unitas and Bart Starr retired and the QBs quit calling the plays on the field.

Tell you what NFL. I just decided your hypocrisy is too offensive. I will not be watching the Superbowl this year. Not for the commercials, not even if by some miracle the Steelers make it into the big show. Nada. I’ll be at the gym working out, at the range practicing, walking my dog... Something useful.

They should have hired an NFL spokesman. Someone like Plaxico Burris or Aaron Hernandez.

Just a thought.

Use the power of the purse - don’t watch the Super Bowl. If every gun owner skips the game the NFL will take notice. All the “approved” ads will get skimp for viewers, and that will go over like a lead zeppelin with advertisers.

WHAAAT???? DON’T WATCH?!?!?
If you can’t stand not tuning in at all just don’t do it from home. Go to a bar where it will be on no matter what. Millions of TVs across America not tuned in will fry their eyes.

If we were all as young and big and beefy as these Neanderthals, maybe we wouldn’t need guns for self defense, either.

Anheuser Bush paid over a billion dollars to be the official NFL beer sponsor a couple of years ago. If DD could come up with that kind of $$ they’d probably lower their “standards.”
