David Plouffe Predicts Obama’s Approval Rating Will Recover: ‘People Trust This President’
Mediaite ^ | December 1, 2013 | Evan McMurry

Posted on 12/01/2013 10:25:01 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

Former Obama advisor David Plouffe appeared on This Week With George Stephanopoulos Sunday morning and predicted that President Barack Obama’s approval rating would rise over the next few months, following the increasing functionality of the Affordable Care Act.

“This has been a tough task,” Plouffe said. “It’s not just health care. The shutdown affected everybody’s confidence in government. But let’s fast-forward to the State of the Union and the months after that. Health care working better, a lot of people signing up. The economy continuing to strengthen. Hopefully no Washington shutdowns. I think the president’s numbers will recover. I think people’s confidence will recover.”

Wall Street Journal columnist Peggy Noonan rebutted that Obama’s broken “if you like you plan, you can keep your plan” pledge would permanently cost him in the polls.

“I think he spoke directly to this, and I think people accepted what he had to say,” Plouffe replied. “I think people trust this president. There have been numbers all over the place. But I’m confident that in a few months from now, the trust numbers will come up, and his approval number will come up.”

It won’t be the people’s trust that recovers Obama’s approval ratings. It will be the all-out, relentless PR job by the MSM that will save his hide.

Well, I do trust him.

I totally trust him to continue his pattern:

EVERYTHING obama does either:
a) Weakens America
b) Distances America's allies
c) Strengthens America's enemies
d) Serves Islam
e) Harms Israel
Or some combination of the above.
I have yet to have anyone raise a single substantive counter example in several years of posting this.

While it would seem the American people have lost confidence in Obama, don’t count him out just yet. Remember the media is totally in the tank for Obama and will willingly spread lies at White House direction. Also the ignorance of the low information voter cannot be underestimated. Lastly the GOP can easily turn victory into defeat and their leadership cannot be counted on to hammer home the utter failure of Obamacare.

"Goebbels couldn't have done it any better."

"So, as the Führer has overcome crises in the past, so will he triumph now. The other day he told me, 'I firmly believe that we shall overcome this crisis. I firmly believe that our army of millions will beat back our enemy and annihilate him. And some day our banners will be victorious. This is my life's unshakeable belief.'" - Joseph Goebbels, Goerlitz, Germany, March 16, 1945.

I think you're right.

Republicans need to keep calling it “Obamacare.” It needs to be constantly drilled into Americans heads who is responsible for this disaster which will uproot everyone’s healthcare. Their parents, their spouses, their children - everyone will be affected by Obama’s tyranny.

President Barack Obama’s approval rating would rise over the next few months, following the increasing functionality of the Affordable Care Act.

I wonder what this boob considers functionality when it comes to ObamaCare?

If ObamaCares function is to make Healthcare insurance unaffordable for most people it is already functioning fine.

If that was its intended function Obama and the Democrats must be quite pleased so far.

If ObamaCare’s intended function is, as was advertised before its passage was to increase the availability and affordability of healthcare insurance for all Americans it has been an utter failure.

I think most Americans will judge the success of ObamaCare on the latter assumptions of its functionality. I also think most people will judge the Presidents veracity on his statements during his reelection campaign and the campaign for passage the ACA concerning ObamaCare.

ObamaCare is costing millions of people their healthcare insurance and getting the website up in running will only serve to make more and more people aware of the fact that most people will be paying more for less coverage. That was apparent to anyone really paying attention before the AFA was passed and now it is too late for the president to be truthful as so he will continue to hold the line on his lie and the press will to the best of their ability support his lies.

But sooner or later the truth will become apparent even to the most ideologically pure Progressive voter and their will be a great awakening of the American people that the Democrats can not be trusted with power.

“Nobody ever has confidence in big government.”

the majority of the population of this country love big government because they are slopping at the government trough for everything that they have!

The internet has organized them and they will vote themselves more until there is nothing left!

we have gone the way of Rome and there won’t be another decent system of government for another 2000 years!

Once they start paying the price for big government, they will suddenly stop “loving” it (which is not the same as having confidence in it; more like an abusive “living in sin” relationship).

The Founding Fathers fought back against the ravages of an intrusive big government, but won because they were men of character; this generation will have a longer slog towards rediscovering character.

Now will be the revenge of the low info voters.

All people will remember is Obama saying: if you like your plan/doctor you can keep it/him/her.

And that not being true.

Let them try nuance, nuance is not understood by low info voters.

Tell them it’s nuance and they’ll call you a lying b*st*rd.

And in this case, they’ll be right.

I don’t know what will happen between now and next November. I hope no one actually dies because of Obamacare.

But I see a bloodbath in the dem party’s future.

I can’t imagine what they could do to change that.

Socialized health care kills people. It is inevitable. I suspect this version of bastardized socialized healthcare is even more deadly than the purer forms of socialized healthcare found in Britain and Canada.

Maybe that is what the Demoncrats wanted. Perhaps they strategized that if they made the system so unworkable that people were dying by the thousands that the outcry would be so pronounced that the people would demand that the government do something and they would then implement total government control of the healthcare system.

The only way can pull it off is to blame the insurance industry for the failure of ObamaCare. How they could possibly convince voters of that I can’t imagine but I have often been surprised by the gullibility of the voting population.

I don’t know what they were thinking.

Maybe they didn’t either “pass it to know what’s in it”, I mean who says that?

One thing is beyond dispute, if people DO die because of this, the blood is on the MSM’s hands too.

I think they’ve killed single payer, with the website failure, if nothing else.

Amazon, ebay, FR, etc. etc. People know there are websites that totally do the job on hand. This is old news at this point.

The fact that our gov’t (which put a man on the moon, defeated hitler, nuked japan, killed bin laden, etc.) couldn’t build a website to sell insurance after 3 YEARS.

No, they are done.

This is the ultimate lead baloon.

Actually that does not surprise me at all.

If you think about it in the context that this is an enterprise run by our government and you know the history of the purchase of computer systems by our government it was a for gone conclusion that it would be behind schedule and catastrophically over budget and probably never comleted.

If you are old enough you may recall that the IRS was supposed to get an entire new computer system during the Clinton first term to replace the antiquated IBM mainframes that they had been using since the 1960s. The project went on and on long after dead line was past. By the time the project was completed the computers and software were obsolete.

I believe part of the problems now experienced by the computer engineers working on this project is that the IRS is still using that system and the have to design software to communicate with that system.

The media/ Democrat voter anthem

On the first page of our story
The future seemed so bright
Then this thing turned out so evil
don’t know why I’m still surprised
Even angels have their wicked schemes
And you take that to new extremes
But you’ll always be my hero
Even though you’ve lost your mind

[Chorus]
Just gonna stand there and watch me burn
But that’s all right because I like the way it hurts
Just gonna stand there and hear me cry
But that’s all right because I love the way you lie
I love the way you lie
Ohhh, I love the way you lie

Sure, we can snicker at Plouffe and all the other Obama-dweebs, but Fearless Leader won't be running in 2016. Her Highness Hillary will be the candidate. And she'll make a big effort to distance herself from Obama and his mess. Dems are Dems for a reason. They never give up on that dream of socialist pie in the sky. Or "free" goodies on terra firma

Hillary will make the same promises as Obama and get all the same voters. Hillary is already pandering to black voters. She'll get over 90% of them in 2016. She'll pander to all the other Dem blocs and get them. We shouldn't count our chickens yet.

I have a solution: Leverage the IRS's team. Tell them they must communicate with Obamacare's site via a web service. Then we merely need to do data pick-ups and drop-offs at a standard location in a known format.

This is a talking-point that we’re seeing more and more of. Always mention the government shutdown at the same time as the Obamacare roll-out, and imply that somehow the “Republican shutdown” caused the healthcare.gov disaster.

Obama used this in his radio address last week.

Yeah, because "the Republicans" shut down the government since the project started in 2009. No, really, we shut the government down for a whole 3.5 years.

No no no, really, we did.

Liberals always say the same thing. They only vary the message according to what their opponents say. Liberals need the silent treatment.

“A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship.
The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations from the beginning of history has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:

From bondage to spiritual faith;
From spiritual faith to great courage;
From courage to liberty;
From liberty to abundance;
From abundance to complacency;
From complacency to apathy;
From apathy to dependence;
From dependence back into bondage.
