David Plouffe Predicts Obama’s Approval Rating Will Recover: ‘People Trust This President’
Mediaite ^ | December 1, 2013 | Evan McMurry

Former Obama advisor David Plouffe appeared on This Week With George Stephanopoulos Sunday morning and predicted that President Barack Obama’s approval rating would rise over the next few months, following the increasing functionality of the Affordable Care Act.

“This has been a tough task,” Plouffe said. “It’s not just health care. The shutdown affected everybody’s confidence in government. But let’s fast-forward to the State of the Union and the months after that. Health care working better, a lot of people signing up. The economy continuing to strengthen. Hopefully no Washington shutdowns. I think the president’s numbers will recover. I think people’s confidence will recover.”

Wall Street Journal columnist Peggy Noonan rebutted that Obama’s broken “if you like you plan, you can keep your plan” pledge would permanently cost him in the polls.

“I think he spoke directly to this, and I think people accepted what he had to say,” Plouffe replied. “I think people trust this president. There have been numbers all over the place. But I’m confident that in a few months from now, the trust numbers will come up, and his approval number will come up.”

It won’t be the people’s trust that recovers Obama’s approval ratings. It will be the all-out, relentless PR job by the MSM that will save his hide.

“It’s not just health care. The shutdown affected everybody’s confidence in government” …
Nobody ever has confidence in big government. But big government is the false idol of people like Plouffe.

Well, I do trust him.

I totally trust him to continue his pattern:

EVERYTHING obama does either:
a) Weakens America
b) Distances America's allies
c) Strengthens America's enemies
d) Serves Islam
e) Harms Israel
Or some combination of the above.
I have yet to have anyone raise a single substantive counter example in several years of posting this.

While it would seem the American people have lost confidence in Obama, don’t count him out just yet. Remember the media is totally in the tank for Obama and will willingly spread lies at White House direction. Also the ignorance of the low information voter cannot be underestimated. Lastly the GOP can easily turn victory into defeat and their leadership cannot be counted on to hammer home the utter failure of Obamacare.

"Goebbels couldn't have done it any better."

"So, as the Führer has overcome crises in the past, so will he triumph now. The other day he told me, 'I firmly believe that we shall overcome this crisis. I firmly believe that our army of millions will beat back our enemy and annihilate him. And some day our banners will be victorious. This is my life's unshakeable belief.'" - Joseph Goebbels, Goerlitz, Germany, March 16, 1945.

I think you're right.

They trusted Hitler until he took them to war and their country was destroyed. Then they didn’t trust him so much anymore.

Just keep chanting that vacous mantra Mister Plooof.
Lather/ Rinse/ Repeat loudly with an hypnotic cadence. The weak minded will also start to repeat it subconsciously at first.

It will recover just in time for the 2014 elections, and again for the 2016 elections, so Obama can support the Dem cause.

The media will see to it.

Republicans need to keep calling it “Obamacare.” It needs to be constantly drilled into Americans heads who is responsible for this disaster which will uproot everyone’s healthcare. Their parents, their spouses, their children - everyone will be affected by Obama’s tyranny.

President Barack Obama’s approval rating would rise over the next few months, following the increasing functionality of the Affordable Care Act.

I wonder what this boob considers functionality when it comes to ObamaCare?

If ObamaCares function is to make Healthcare insurance unaffordable for most people it is already functioning fine.

If that was its intended function Obama and the Democrats must be quite pleased so far.

If ObamaCare’s intended function is, as was advertised before its passage was to increase the availability and affordability of healthcare insurance for all Americans it has been an utter failure.

I think most Americans will judge the success of ObamaCare on the latter assumptions of its functionality. I also think most people will judge the Presidents veracity on his statements during his reelection campaign and the campaign for passage the ACA concerning ObamaCare.

ObamaCare is costing millions of people their healthcare insurance and getting the website up in running will only serve to make more and more people aware of the fact that most people will be paying more for less coverage. That was apparent to anyone really paying attention before the AFA was passed and now it is too late for the president to be truthful as so he will continue to hold the line on his lie and the press will to the best of their ability support his lies.

But sooner or later the truth will become apparent even to the most ideologically pure Progressive voter and their will be a great awakening of the American people that the Democrats can not be trusted with power.

“Nobody ever has confidence in big government.”

the majority of the population of this country love big government because they are slopping at the government trough for everything that they have!

The internet has organized them and they will vote themselves more until there is nothing left!

we have gone the way of Rome and there won’t be another decent system of government for another 2000 years!

Once they start paying the price for big government, they will suddenly stop “loving” it (which is not the same as having confidence in it; more like an abusive “living in sin” relationship).

The Founding Fathers fought back against the ravages of an intrusive big government, but won because they were men of character; this generation will have a longer slog towards rediscovering character.
