Young people have bailed on Obama. Why that matters a lot.

One of President Obama's chief political assets has been his ability to excite young people like almost no politician in history. But the days of America's youth fawning over the president are over.

A new Harvard University Institute of Politics poll released Wednesday confirms what other surveys have shown in recent months: Millennials have soured on Obama so much this year that their opinion of him largely mirrors the American public's.

With three generations of sheep indoctrinated in government union run schools, I have my doubts as to whether the ‘yuts’ have the capacity to make that leap.

Responsible people (conservatives) always end up paying for the consequences of liberal ideas, ie, baling out the cities for their mismanagement,

and the liberals don’t learn.

Well....that assumes he’ll abide by the rule of law, not ignore Congress, not just reinterpret the law, not just issue everything by Exec Order, etc....

I’m sure he’d just put the “blame the GOP” into high gear and say “somebody has to do something, this isn’t what the American people want, system is broken!”, etc...then just do what he wants.

But have they bailed on their love affair with socialism? Or are they just disappointed in Obama because they thought that he’d be the one they’d been waiting for to implement it “right”?

They are bailing because they've figured out that they are the people Obama is counting on to finance this thing. (They thought it was a great program when they were still under the impression it was being paid for with other people's money.)

“I spent 7 months in remote regions of Red China in the mid-70s when I was 25 years old. The school of hard knocks works wonders.”

Must be an interesting story given the era and the location

Still leaves the question open - have they determined that it can’t work with “other people’s money” because there’s not enough of it,
or do they just think that Obama screwed up the implementation,
or worse, that Obama could have gotten it right if given enough power to implement it the “right way”.

That last one is usually the one they fall to,
and that’s super-scary.

Sounds more like many of them have finally graduate from college and don’t like living in dad and mom’s basement.

They thought they were getting a free lunch, until Obama handed them the check.

You're exactly correct! These indoctrinated, state-schooled "yutes" still buy into the religion & ideology of socialist/left-wing/marxist hogwash. Even if they are momentarily soured on 0dumb0, they will still pull the lever for left-wing socialism by voting the demoCRAP party line at every level of city/county/district/state/congressional rep/ senator officials. It takes a near conversion experience for someone to vote conservative (or even republican) once they buy into the demoCRAP party line.

My phat ass sister-in-law is the same way. Six years after 0dumb0 has been in office, she is still blaming Republicans (just like 0dumb0 is) for basically not giving 0dumb0 & the RATS a blank check to spend as much as they claim they need. In her phat-ass mind, the only reason 0dumb0Care is not working the way it was promised by RATs & 0dumb0 is because the Repubs haven't folded on every spending bill. She could pay premiums of $50,000 annually with no deductibles, and she would STILL pull the lever for 0dumb0 & the RATs.

As Michael Savage so aptly described it, Liberalism is a Mental Disorder!

*****they’ll just go for hillary, saying it’s time for a woman to be president,...****

Which is why it must be pointed out by Hillary’s adversaries; for the past 5 and the next 3 years - America has had a woman-President. Her name is Valerie Jarrett!!!!!

I still want them to suffer ten more years for their stupidity.

It will take the entire country at least ten more years to recover from our collective stupidity. The military, at least a generation.

If you don't think so, just look at Iran. That's Jimmy Carter's legacy.

Hillary will not run, simply because for one of two reasons, by 2016, she will either have health issues or focus her new title: grandmother.

Health issues? Maybe.

Grandmother? No way. Any grandkids would be useful stage props in her quest for power.

Take this test to determine you are a Millennial:

My score was: “Your Millennial score is 0”

How Millennial Are You?

Take our 14 item quiz and we’ll tell you how “Millennial” you are, on a scale from 0 to 100, by comparing your answers with those of respondents to a scientific nationwide survey. You can also find out how you stack up against others your age.

Or secession.

Amen! Bring it on. We need TX & OK, along with 10-12 other Southern or Western states to finally declare enough is enough, and secede. I would gladly join that group of states. I am convinced that such a move would succeed because now we know how evil that 0dumb0 & the RATs are, plus his new metrosexual/homo/lesbian army would cry & wilt & run away in the first battle.

I wouldn’t be so quick to assume that the “yout” vote will go R. I fear they will just turn off to politics altogether. At least until such time as they become working heads of households with a coupla kids, i.e., grownups.

“Youts” are far more socially liberal than would align with the GOP. They perceive the GOP/conservatives as old scolds. We’re just NOT cool.

I hope you’re right about that but the Republican track record doesn’t inspire much in the way of confidence. Even with a majority, they’ll go right back to what they do best: caving and appeasing.
