No charges filed against FSU’s Winston
Tampa Tribune ^ | 12/05/13 | Staff Article

Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston will not be charged with a crime, State Attorney Willie Meggs said Thursday after his office completed an investigation into a sexual assault complaint filed a year ago.

“We’ve carefully examined the evidence in this case and found that no charges will be filed,” Meggs said at a news conference in Tallahassee.

The decision means Winston remains a favorite to win the Heisman Trophy and will be able to continue playing for the No. 1-ranked Seminoles.

According to a January search warrant released hours before Meggs’ announcement, the woman who accused Winston told police she was raped at an apartment after a night of drinking at a bar.

Meggs said there was not enough evidence to bring the case to trial.

Will the accuser pursue a civil case? She was forced to drop out of FSU over her insistence that the sex was not consensual.

I think it’s another “Duke Lacrosse Team” case. Not saying Winston is a saint, but after that whole thing, I was skeptical about the charges from the beginning...And believe me, nobody wants to see FSU go down as much as I do.

Winston has vowed to enlist the aid of O.J. Simpson in tracking down the real rapist.

Well, I don’t pretend to know what happened, but at least college football is not as bad as the Muzzies . . . where she could have been stoned because she didn’t have four eyewitnesses to support her story . . . but the Rats think Muzzies have more redeeming qualities than college sports.

She was told by the police/prosecutors that pursuing this case would cause her problems at the university with fans/students. Yeah, pretty much she was forced to flee.

I’m not blaming her for leaving, but she was not forced to leave. I was asking with respect to a potential civil case.

You’ll have to ask her new attorney...

That would prove to me that she was lying.

What happened to that Stifler’s Mom looking woman who
said Herman Cain was inappropriate with her?

That would prove to me that there is a money angle once she found out who he was...

““We’ve carefully examined the evidence in this case and found that no charges will be filed,” “

That is not a finding. that is a result of a finding.

Obviously, the guy wished a known result and did an investigation that supported result.

We in Texas call is a “Whitewash”, like Terrell Pryor, Cam Newtown, etc.
