The Fix Is In
Red State ^ | 12/5/2013 | Erick Erickson

In case you missed it, John Boehner has hired Rebecca Tallent. Tallent worked for the left-of-center “Bipartisan Policy Center,” and is a serious amnesty advocate. She helped John McCain and Ted Kennedy during the Bush era on that disastrous plan.

Here’s what is going to happen.

Boehner will wait until 2014, after qualifying for all the serious challenges to incumbents is over. Then he’ll get all these Republicans talking out of both sides of their mouths and the Democrats together for a bipartisan immigration reform push. The threat of primary challenges well passed, they’ll get their amnesty deal done.

The only way conservatives can stop this from happening now is to line up primary challenges early. In Texas, the period to challenge ends very shortly. Same goes for other states. If conservatives do not find credible, quality challengers ASAP, we’ll see amnesty steam roll through once the threat of the primaries is passed.

The Republicans are so convinced you will turn out and vote for them in 2014 to spite Obama, they are perfectly happy to screw you over in this fight knowing how cheap a date the conservative movement has become.

It wasn't Obama who brought up immigration reform the very day after the election, it was not Harry Reid or Nancy Pelosi. It was Mitch McConnell, It was Boehner, it was Cantor. They were the ones who panicked after a crushing defeat and started scrambling for solutions.

The president is only pushing for this because he wants people to stop focusing on Obamacare, it benefits the Democrats more to keep the issue alive to use against us than to actually get a solution. The fix was in Nov 5 2012, everything that has happened that has lead to this has been at the behest of our party leadership.

The GOPe was in line to win big in 2014 and will do this and scuttle their own chances.

Correction: the Republicans don’t really care if you vote for them. They are more than happy as minority party. If voted out they take their seats on corporate boards and foundations. They appear to have been promised special box seats on the NWO train for themselves and their families.

If they are going to do a series of smaller bills then that might be better. I want to see Democrats voting against border control or employer verification. Each thing we want can be paired with something they want.

***Well put. Even here on FR, JimRob endorsed a candidate whom he said he’d never endorse, having called him a gun-grabbing, babykilling statist.

Sure looks like the Democrats RINO, John Boehner, has already made his personal side deal with the Obamacrats.

Yup: RINOs ram through a disastrous, VERY Anti-American, Amnesty Bill for Illegal Alien Invaders from Mexico, and the Democrats promise absolutely nothing in return, as usual.

WHY DO OUR SORRY MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES KEEP THIS POS PSEUDO DEMOCRAT BOEHNER AS THEIR SPEAKER ?

Because the majority of Republicans in the House agree with this stuff?

“WHY DO OUR SORRY MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES KEEP THIS POS PSEUDO DEMOCRAT BOEHNER AS THEIR SPEAKER ?”

And if memory serves, the House had a chance to vote him out but, one by one, decided it was more politically expedient to vote ‘yea’. Even Michelle Bachmann ended up giveing Boehner the nod.

I agree. Let them be clean bills allowing people to see exactly what is being voted on.

I think they have the upper hand this time; Obama is desperate to do a deal so may agree to the piecemeal approach.

We have to get politics back on a local level, call, email, tweet to your reps and senators to stop.

You are more right than you know.

The GOP Ruling Class and party have made an agreement to act as Judenrats for the MarxoFascists and assist in the purge and extermination of the Conservative movement.

Then, once that is achieved, they will exterminate Conservatives themselves.

So says history if anyone is willing to look and realize that we forgot the lessons.

Dear Grae’, Boehner is now an imposter, plain ans simple. His incompetence is by intentional design, and the alternative to this increased hostage taking of rank and file conservative voters is going to do nothing but swell the ranks of the Libertarian Party, warts and all, because people are over the top FED UP.

The Repubs can’t seem to win without us, so far, but they see that we never win either, without them.

We need to surprise them and get off the wheel. The circular firing squad is not working, and I don’t want to be in their fox hole any longer.

I expect an amnesty bill will be similiar to Obamacare: Long and convoluted, no one will have really read it (except the unions and US Chamber of Commerce, who wrote it) there will be wild promises and assurances that will be forgotten and then once it’s passed the critters will ‘fine-tune’ it, amending parts that might have stymied passage.
The Democrats will respond to expressions of outrage with “It’s the law of the land!”
And the ‘loyal opposition’ will prove itself to be more loyal than oppositional on this issue.

There wasn’t any choice, dude.

Now, seeing as how things can’t get much worse than they already are, I will happily choose nothing next time unless I can choose Ted Cruz.
