FBI officials executed a search warrant at former state Sen. Kent Sorenson’s home two weeks ago and confiscated computers and other materials connected to presidential campaign politics, his lawyer said Wednesday.
“We were not notified that he was the target of any investigation,” attorney Theodore Sporer said. “They took computers and things that would be used to verify or validate communications with presidential entities.”
Earlier this year, a report from a state special investigator suggested that two presidential campaigns — those of Michele Bachmann and Ron Paul — may have violated federal election laws by skirting rules to funnel money to Sorenson for campaign work.
Sorenson is not part of the Chicago Democratic Machine and unless I see conclusive evidence, this smells like Democrat controlled political prosecution.
Zero investigation, and zero interest from Pravda (WaPo) and Izvestia (NYTimes), of course.
We really are sinking into a more and more open despotism-- look at the IRS announcing new 'regulations' that are basically announcing that they will resume suppressing Tea Party and Republican groups.
Congressional investigations don't mean squat with a regime and propaganda organ media like ours.
Anyone here in Iowa knows the situation.

Bull-loney. Sorenson has been under investigation for some time now. He knew this was coming. And this was all his own doing.

As long as conservatives are wishy washy when involved in the political arena, these sorts of ‘’persecutions’’ by the other side will continue.
We are already in the political gutter. The other side has no qualms whatsoever about doing what they want to get what they want. We had better become dirty rotten bastards ourselves or this country is doomed.

Again, this guy is a sleaze. What he did was blantantly wrong and in the open. He stabbed Michelle Bachmann in the back and went to work for another campaign shortly before the primary.
Not someone to defend. I am glad he is being held accountable for any illegal things he did.
