U.S. President Barack Obama said at the Saban Forum on Saturday that there must not be another Gaza in the Palestinian Authority-assigned areas of Judea and Samaria.
Israel pulled out of Gaza in 2005, as part of the “Disengagement”. This resulted in Hamas taking over the region and escalating rocket attacks at southern Israel.
Obama warned that in the event of a final agreement between Israel and the PA, there would be a "transition period" to ensure that Judea and Samaria does not become a security threat akin to Hamas-ruled Gaza. He said that the PA would have to accept such a transition period.
"This transition period requires some restraint on the part of the Palestinians as well. They don't get everything they want on day one," he said, according to the AFP news agency.
"The Israeli people can't expect a replica of Gaza in the West Bank," Obama added. "That is unacceptable."

We don’t stand for anyone coming here and saying, “hey, we want Arizona, California, New Mexico, Texas, Colorado, etc. back. And all you Americans get out. We wouldn’t stand for that! So, Israel shouldn’t either.

there should be no Palestinian state on the so-called West Bank . All of Judea and Samaria is Israel . Israel should exist from the south bank of the Litany River in what is not Lebanon , and including the Golan , down the Jordan River and all the Negev to the Gulf of Aqaba . Optionally , it should include the entire Sinai and Gaza . This is Israel , if the rest of the world doesn’t like it , too bad .

Nobody elected Obama king of Israel or prince of the Palestinians. This futile meddling is just another aspect of the infinite modern faith in the magical powers of Big Government and bureaucracy to remake the hearts and minds of men. The Middle East and the US would both be better in the long run if we left that part of the world alone.
Two words make that impossible for America to stop meddling: Saudi Arabia. They say jump, the POTUS asks how high. They say pressure Israel, Israel gets American pressure. That way, they can demonstrate their usefulness to the cause of Islam to the fanatics that want them dead, and continue to enjoy their palaces, Lear jets, harems and hookahs.
