Documentary footage of North Korea ruler Kim Jong-Un appears to have been edited so as to remove his once-powerful uncle, who has reportedly been sacked from some of the highest-ranking positions in the so-called "Hermit Kingdom."

Yonhap reportedly viewed the documentary footage of Kim's inspection visit to a military unit, which was rerun on the North's Korean Central Television Station, and noted in a report that Jang had been hidden or deleted in a total of 13 scenes. By contrast, a version that aired nine times in October clearly showed Jang accompanying his nephew and standing close by.

Truly, there is no safe place to be in a totalitarian state.

I don’t care about the Uncle or any of the North Korean elite, but my heart breaks for the people.

In the early 80’s, I traveled to Hungary for the first time. My wife’s family lands had been separated in WW2 with Austria. So, some farmland was on the Austrian side, some on the Hungarian side.
The closest big city was Gyor. Near the bus stop was a huge building. It was known as “the hospital”.
Many many people were put in there. There was always a soviet tank outside, and all around was a patrol of soviet soldiers.
I was told by her grandmother, that this was the place that they sent people who had “mental illness”.
Mental illness included those who were turned in by neighbors. It was pretty common I guess, to report your neighbor was holding back on pigs, chickens, cucumbers, or whatever. See, a percentage of what you owned was not yours, it belonged to the state, and you were required to bring it to... well, I guess they were sort of offices, each month. I don’t know the real name. Her grandmother grew cucumbers, and while I was there, they had to cart off about 70% of what she grew to the “office”.
In any event, the most powerful people in town were the post-masters. They would get phone calls (no one had phones), and mail and ride their bikes through the town to tell someone they had a phone call and deliver mail. They were very corrupt. If it got to be too much, people would get together and report them to the Soviet officers. Now, these post masters were very loyal to the party, but if several house holds got together, they could have these postmasters sent to “the hospital”.
Also, out of jealousy or whatever, it was common for neighbors to complain against other neighbors.
One of the neighbors to Mumma, was trading Deutch Marks for Forints, and a very high rate compared to the national rate. She was sent away to the hospital as well. Because? She was doing very well financially, where her neighbors were not. Someone was jealous and turned her in.
It was a horrible time in Hungarian history.
We wanted to buy “Mumma” 2 piglets before we left, and she refused, saying her neighbors would be jealous and she did not want to stand out, so to speak.
A sad time.
Nowadays it is much better, but the soviets treated Hungary, Poland and Czechoslovakia, Romania etc as nothing more than fodder to feed the USSR.
“Hospitalization” was not uncommon at all.
It's not like the citizen of North Korea - the creepiest country in the Universe - would object. With the boot firmly smashing into their faces what citizen would dare to notice?
Rather than remove ‘uncle’ the commie thugs should say 'uncle' was now Suzy Cream-cheese. NK's hopeless citizens would buy it...or else. Must be fun to live under a commie thug.

Un is proving to be every bit as bloody as his father and grandfather. That education and easy living in Switzerland had no bearing on his brutality. Well, I would bet the farm he is still living easy, just behind closed doors.
