Former U.S. vice presidential candidate, governor, best-selling author and original “Mama Grizzly” Sarah Palin returns to series television on Sportsman Channel to host a new show – the first part of the network’s “Red, Wild & Blue America” programming plan – for the fast-growing outdoor lifestyle network. Titled “Amazing America with Sarah Palin,” the weekly series will premiere in April 2014. The announcement was made today by Gavin Harvey, CEO of Sportsman Channel.

Amazing America with Sarah Palin is an anthology of stories that explore some of the most original, interesting – and sometimes inspiring – people, places and pastimes connected to America’s outdoors lifestyle. Governor Palin takes viewers coast-to-coast into what Sportsman Channel calls “Red, Wild and Blue America” – where the American Spirit and the Great Outdoors are celebrated in equal measure. From everyday people to business leaders and celebrities; in cities, suburbs and towns; the leader of the “Status Go” movement – Palin – will find the stories of people and places that share and reflect her passion for what makes America the great, amazing nation that it is.

"I'm excited to help shine a light on all the great American sportsmen and women in the country who live the outdoors lifestyle," said Sarah Palin, host of Amazing America with Sarah Palin. "Sportsman Channel is the leader in their industry and I am thrilled to be partnering with them on this show."

“Governor Palin is one of America’s most popular leaders, whose powerful love of country and passion for the great outdoors is inspiring to millions and millions of people,” said Gavin Harvey, CEO of Sportsman Channel. “As a sportswoman, humanitarian, and patriot who has visited every corner of the USA, there is no one more qualified to host Amazing America than Sarah Palin.”

Palin has been a dynamic figure in the media since her run in 2008 as Senator John McCain’s vice presidential running mate. She is a three-time New York Times best-selling author (Going Rogue, America By Heart and Good Tidings and Great Joy), generated almost 100 million Google hits and has nearly five million organic and engaged social media followers. Time Magazine also has named her as one of the “100 Most Influential People in the World” (2009, 2010). Governor Palin has been married to four-time Iron Dog champion Todd Palin for 25 years. They reside in Wasilla, Alaska, and have five children and two grandchildren.

Sportsman Channel is a part of the nation's largest multimedia company targeted exclusively to serving the information and entertainment needs of outdoors enthusiasts. Sportsman Channel is dedicated to provide the most entertaining and informative hunting, shooting and fishing multimedia content while also promoting conservation and the tradition of the sportsman lifestyle.

“Amazing America with Sarah Palin,” is the first of three new series produced for Sportsman Channel by award-winning production company Pilgrim Studios, run by CEO and Executive Producer Craig Piligian.

He was a friendly, knowledgeable, dignified guest in our living rooms. That was Ronald Reagan on Death Valley Days.

I feel like this proverbial dog in the photo below :-), except I'd be begging her to add Alaskan and other STOL aircraft with Tundra Tires, Seaplanes, and Ampibs to get to said fun outdoor spots...

I copy/pasted that from the sportsman’s channel website, but I wasn’t thinking about the cable, because I used dish tv.

I had to put in a zip code, so that was probably for cable. I’m guessing cable is location dependent.

Go here: http://www.thesportsmanchannel.com/#

Put in your zip code where it says (about middle) “get sportsman channel”

Thanks for the link, unfortunately my crappy Time Warner Cable does NOT provide this channel..figures, last night for hours I lost my internet and TV because of a severe outage in the area, now this..overpriced garbage that is what TWC is..maybe by the time this program airs we would have switched to Directv or something

yeah for us its either gonna be Dish or Directv but it seems like Dish might be the better option, besides, my sister has Dish so if we sign up we get a credit for being referred

The thing that is so maddening, and one of the prime reasons I dumped my dish, was the aspect that although I watched precious few channels, the high monthly bill was primarily due to the cost of a ton of truly loathesome, left-leaning sleaze channels which I never watched. It’s like financing/underwriting a mortal enemy.

On the bad side of things, when there does pop up a decent program that reflects my values, and one I wish to support, I’ve foregone my access.

We pay here for TWC 130 bucks a month, including internet(Which is how they get you, once you get used to high speed internet they know you wont want to leave) we hardly get any good channels, just the usual stuff, lifetime movie network, NBA TV, all of the ESPN Channels, other than that there is hardly anything ever on..and yesterday I missed the Laker game(Which was a good thing since we lost :( because of an “Outage” in the area, didnt have internet or TV for the rest of the evening(When the TV goes out the internet goes out too, they both work hand in hand)
My sister likes Dish, my aunt has Directv and likes it..just dont know which one is the better option, because of the internet with TWC that I want to keep it makes things more difficult

Hadn’t thought about that.

So you see this as indication there will be no Senate run for Sarah Palin? That makes sense.
