Transformation Complete, Charles Johnson Denounces Ronald Reagan (LittleGreenFootballs)
The Other McCain ^ | December 8, 2013 | Robert Stacy McCain

Posted on 12/09/2013 2:30:14 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

So stunningly rapid was his descent into obscurity that every post about the Lizard King’s latest self-humiliation must be prefaced with a reminder that he actually used to be somebody — cited by Rush Limbaugh! a co-founder of PJ Media! — until that day in October 2007 when he decided that Pamela Geller’s attendance at an anti-jihad conference in Brussels was some kind of hate crime or something.

Blame the Jews? CJ’s unraveling happened slowly and quietly at first. Most people weren’t entirely sure whether this blog war was legitimate, so they ignored it as long as they could. Yet the attacks on creationists and “climate denialists” steadily escalated:

He believes his disagreements with some conservatives should have become obvious in the spring of 2008 when he slammed Ben Stein for his anti-evolution movie, “Expelled.” In numerous posts since, Johnson has derided what he sees as the right’s anti-science bent. “When they teach their children that,” Johnson said, “they are raising a generation of kids who aren’t going to be ready to deal with the world in which science is increasingly important.”(continued)

Yeah, but it's still useful to bring up as a cautionary tale.

One can have disagreements, but in distancing yourself from others due to a disagreement, one shouldn't walk off the face of the earth. (See that - I'm an anti-science flat-earther!)

Also, the name he gave to his own website was an early clue that not all was well in Johnsonville.

Was on the Counter-Jihad circuit for a long time. This despicable little nobody fell over one day and woke up with a different personality, began attacking Islam’s critics. Good riddance to the pretentious little nancy boy. May he be stoned by CAIR workers.

Ending Apartheid in South Africa

President Reagan’s address before members of the World Affairs Council and Foreign Policy Association in the East Room of the White House on July 22, 1986.(1)

For more than a year now, the world’s attention has been focused upon South Africa—the deepening political crisis there, the widening cycle of violence. And, today, I’d like to outline American policy toward that troubled republic and toward the region of which it is a part—a region of vital importance to the West.

The root cause of South Africa’s disorder is apartheid—that rigid system of racial segregation, wherein black people have been treated as third-class citizens in a nation they helped to build.

America’s view of apartheid has been, and remains, clear. Apartheid is morally wrong and politically unacceptable. The United States cannot maintain cordial relations with a government whose power rests upon the denial of rights to a majority of its people based on race. If South Africa wishes to belong to the family of Western nations, an end to apartheid is a precondition. Americans, I believe, are united in this conviction. Second, apartheid must be dismantled. Time is running out for the moderates of all races in South Africa.

But if we Americans are agreed upon the goal, a free and multiracial South Africa associated with free nations and the West, there is deep disagreement about how to reach it.

Hey mathematical illiterate: Mandela became a Communist sometime around 1960. Why would he care what an actor thought about apartheid?

And, by the way, Reagan didn't support it, anyway.

I found FR under similar circumstances. I quit LGF for good a little over a year later.

“Buy my pants! Upding+5!! I don’t delete anything! (Thread deleted. Reason:hateful questions)” - typical Charles Johnson.
He has an active handle here which he used to boost and promote himself.
“Basic_common_sense” if memory serves.

I’m proud to say I was banned from LGF for being too conservative.

I used to check LGF every day. Loved the Palestinian Car Swarms. Then he went bonkers. Quite the sad trajectory.

I had that exact same suspicion about him some seven years ago.

Maybe he should change the name of his site so that the acronym is no longer LGF but LGBT?
