QUEEN CREEK, Ariz. - An Arizona man says he has found out the hard way just how to get banned from Walmart for life.
Joe Cantrell loves to ad match.
He goes through circulars to find the biggest discounts, and then goes to Walmart.
According to the company's website, they match the lowest advertised price on identical products, but when Joe tried doing that last week, the unthinkable happened.
What started as a trip to a San Tan Valley, Ariz., Walmart to get ornaments for his family's Christmas tree, turned into the biggest nightmare of Joe's life.
"I was handcuffed, humiliated and embarrassed in front of everybody at Walmart," Joe remembers.
And, there's a chance, Joe just may be the most loyal Walmart shopper you've ever met.
Joe told us he visits the mega-retailer at least twice a day -- once in the morning with his grandmother, and then again in the evening.
"I just love Walmart and that's why I go," he laughs.

LOL!
:-)
I cant imagine it here either. Never had a walmarts employee bother me over anything, except when they are too slow
It be nice to be sure of the real story.
I cant take his story at face value.
He should have told them he was gay and would sue for discrimination, they would have dusted him off and given him a gift card instead of having him arrested.
this must mean price matching is price gouging.
not approving a loan is redlining.
approving a loan is predatory lending.
and everything is racist.
I wondered myself if he was black they would have treated him the same, or a flaming gay.
My money is on a full public apology from corporate now that it’s gotten on the news like this.
He’s probably use to putting away 10k in calories when he was working out for all those years and only dropped it to 5k now that he is “disabled”.
Needs to go to 2k I think or hit the gym.
I agree. There’s more to this story than is being told.
This story ain’t right.
...but he says he's facing charges of threatening, intimidation and disorderly conduct
Sounds more than simply going up to a clerk and asking for the same price. Something smells fishy. Anything to bash Wal-Mart.
He probably pitched a big ol’ fit when they refused to price match an item that wasn’t an “exact” match. It said he was looking for a price match on Christmas ornaments.
That’s crazy! I’ve seen the signs all over Walmart saying that they will match the advertised prices at other stores. How can an employee tell him that Walmart doesn’t do that?
I think a letter writing campaign is in order.
The signs in the store say that Walmart will match other ad prices.
You’re right, it’s completely bogus.
I sometimes take advantage of Walmart’s ad match policy, and I usually bring the circulars for convenience, since the cashier may or may not have that Sunday’s ads. I have yet to be put in handcuffs.

If someone is asked to not come back because they ad-match (which Walmart tells people to actually do) - then Walmart is shown to be a LIAR and that they ban people for doing exactly what their advertisements say. For a business - that LYING of the worst kind!
Back in the 80's when most of the AC casinos used only 4 decks in a shoe, paid 2-1 on a Blackjack, and some paid double on "5 in under", I was a decent counter and had some pretty good paydays. Counters were banned so you really couldn't "load up" when the deck was right, {go from $200 to $2,000 on one hand} but you could get a little heavier say 2 to 5, without attracting too much attention.
If they suspected you were counting, they axed you to leave, but this was before facial recognition software so you could come back.
That is a funny site. I saw it a long time ago when it was posted here on FR.
I do not see how it could be construed as leftist.
