Would Obama attend Billy Graham's funeral (Graham is still with us as of this writing)

Given Obama went to SA today to pay respects to a fellow socialist/communist I wonder what his reaction will be when Billy Graham dies.

Will he have glowing words for the man who has really impacted the lives of people around the world of all ethnicities?

The more pertinent question is whether a good Christian man like Billy Graham would want BO stinking up his funeral.

Given Obama went to SA today to pay respects

He wasn't in South America or San Antonio...

Personally, I prefer him to be off-continent.

It's when he's incontinent that he wets on things the most.

My Father is buried at Arlington Nat’l. When the Kenyan blows off veterans day or any day that honors vets at Arl Nat’l I’m relieved. My Father deserves better after fighting in 3 major conflicts. Certainly Billy Graham deserves better.

I think a better question is why did Caliph Baraq miss the funeral for Moammar Gadhafi?

Obama will have kind words for Billy Graham when the time comes but I seriously doubt he'll attend Graham's funeral. Obama apologists will claim that Graham was a 'private citizen' and not a former head of state. Besides, it might 'offend' Muslims for the U.S. president to attend the funeral of a Christian and Obama will never do that.

“When the Kenyan blows off veterans day or any day that honors vets at Arl Nat’l I’m relieved. “

I see it the same way. If Obama shows someplace, suddenly it’s all about him. Frankly, I hope the Founding Fathers are waiting for him when he dies. (And that an cytoplasmic punch hurts.)

If he does show up it will just be to be the center of attention while America mourns.

If he does not go, it will be a slap in the face to Billy Graham.

BJ would be crying through the whole funeral, and then laughing on the way back to the car.

Of course the Clintons would show up. It’s all about the dog and pony show.

Interesting. Billy Graham is the most respected Christian evangelist in the world. But, he is a devout Christian. Obama isn’t. Billy is White, Obama is Black. Billy relies on God, Obama relies on polls and money, Billy prays to God each day, Obama prays to Money, the DNC, MediaMatters, George Soros and maybe Satan each day.

Billy has done more for the world than Mandela ever dreamed of doing. But Billy is White. In this world today, if you’re White, you’re wrong and should be condemned.

So I doubt Obama would attend a funeral for a White Guy

And no doubt how he’ll “continue Billy Graham’s legacy” by continuing to push “gay rights,” “marriage equality,” “choice” and “free family planning.”

The bottom line is that most socialists do not believe in an afterlife, so see funerals and memorials as political rallies. It is a very utilitarian outlook—if they can’t get something out of it, they have no interest in it.

I have been wondering how the Graham family could politely tell the emperor he wasn’t welcome at the funeral. O would ask to speak and make it all about himself, perhaps even snapping another selfie by the casket?

10/08/2013 - The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) launched a major ad campaign encouraging Americans to "vote for biblical values" this November. In a press statement, the BGEA said the new ads "intentionally do not mention any candidate, political party, or contest, urging instead for readers to cast votes for candidates, at all levels, based on their support for biblical values. [Billy Graham] recently expressed a desire to publicly call America back to God and to prayer, and to draw attention to moral issues that are clearly addressed in the Bible and have increasingly become part of a national political dialog." But Graham himself had earlier expressed wishes that he'd been more politically neutral and nonpartisan throughout his ministry. The ad campaign is the latest in a series of public statements this year that have prompted questions on whether they truly reflect Billy Graham's concerns or whether they were initiated by his son Franklin Graham, who has been more outspoken than his father on political matters in recent years. Earlier in OCT, the BGEA removed an article listing Mormonism as a "cult" from its website. The move came after Graham welcomed Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney at his home and reportedly promised, "I'll do all I can to help you."

Well it is a bit much to try to be neutral when one party embraces things that are drastically more godly than the other does. One should concentrate on issues rather than party (except when it comes to explicit party platform), but Democrats are going to get more criticism than Republicans are, just by the nature of the beast.

Jesus ate with tax collectors and prostitutes. I don’t think Dr. Graham would object to one of their modern successors hearing the Gospel at his funeral.

And God can raise up wonderful witnesses that can get these dissolute folks thinking seriously about God’s desires for them again, without raising a myriad of red herring issues. I think it’s more about the witnesses believing powerfully in how wonderful God is, than in being all that wonderful in themselves. (All are saved sinners.)

Billy Graham has spoken before more people in his lifetime than any other person in the history of the world.

He reached billions of people and brought the word of Jesus Christ to much of Asia, including China, Taiwan and South Korea. He is credited with making South Korea a mostly Christian nation.

He was also a personal confidante/spiritual adviser to every President since Truman. Just a towering figure in 20th century Christianity.

Graham has more “good” in one finger than Mandela had in his entire body.

I doubt it. The picture in message #31 is the first evidence I have seen of any contact between them. The eleven previous presidents—even the sinful Bill Clinton—valued Mr. Graham’s advice, but not Obama.

The message the Preezy would get at Billy Graham's funeral would not be at all similar to the one he got at Mandela's.

It is not one he would want to hear but he needs to hear it a lot more than the foolishness piled upon foolishness he heard at Mandela's.

I can just picture the photo op now - BO will interject himself someway in the narrative. Maybe grab Billy’s favorite Bible and flash it around. who knows? Billy Graham probably doesn’t care who attends his funeral - he’s more concerned on who he will see once his work on earth is done.
