NBC Quietly Deletes Mugabe from Obama-Castro Handshake Story
Breitbart ^ | 10 Dec 2013 | Joel B Pollack

Posted on 12/11/2013 12:14:02 PM PST by Dave346

Earlier Tuesday, NBC News reported that President Barack Obama had shaken hands with Zimbabwean leader Robert Mugabe. However, the UK Telegraph's Josie Ensor reported that Obama "was asked to take his seat just before reaching Mugabe." Complicating matters, another article in the UK Telegraph also claimed that Obama had shaken hands with Mugabe--in very similar terms to those used in the NBC article.

Breitbart News caught the discrepancy--and suddenly the NBC News article was corrected, with no notice.

Before:

On his way to the rostrum, Obama also shook the hand of Robert Mugabe, the strongman ruler of Zimbabwe, and hugged Dilma Rousseff, the president of Brazil, who has stridently opposed spying by the National Security Agency and criticized the U.S. government.

After:

On his way to the rostrum, Obama also hugged Dilma Rousseff, the president of Brazil, who has stridently opposed spying by the National Security Agency and criticized the U.S. government.

BIRDS OF A FEATHER

After being released, Cuba was one of the first countries visited Nelson Mandela . Former South African President then began a long friendship with Fidel Castro, whom the July 1991 thanked Cuban troops to the battle of Cuito Cuanavale.

During his imprisonment, Mandela became an admirer of the writings of Mao and Che Guevara, whom he also dedicated praise when it was released: "his revolutionary achievements were of such magnitude that no charge of censorship in the prison could hide them ourselves." Che's life is an inspiration for every human being who loves freedom. " We will always honor your memory", said.

> Obama bowed to Castro...

As appalled as I am at the President bowing to ANY foreign leader, I notice that at 6'-1" Obama towered over the 5'-4" Castro. If he was trying to look at him directly he'd probably try to get a little more on the same level, and as someone who is 6'-1" myself, I kind of understand that. I don't know about the Japanese leader that Obama bowed to, Japanese men tend to be short too, although that's no excuse for a bow unless it is a strictly ceremonial one and NOT directed at another leader. And that said, there was no excuse whatsoever for the time he bowed to that Saudi prince. Or ANY leader. The President of the United State bows to NO foreign leader, period.

Obama is a freakin' disgrace.

Obama often bows to foreign rulers and dignitaries.

Sometimes he does not bow when he is taller than the person he is greeting.

BOWING:

<

With some foreign officiaries, he doesn't flex so much.

NOT BOWING:

Compare and contrast.
