Iranian negotiators abruptly ended nuclear talks with Western powers in Vienna on Friday just a day after the Obama administration announced tighter sanctions on Tehran.

Iran had threatened that new or tighter sanctions would nullify the recently reached Geneva interim deal, which is not yet in effect.

The Iranians abruptly “halted” the talks and left Vienna so that they could consult with higher-level officials about how to proceed with talks following the tighter sanctions, which were announced Thursday morning by the U.S. Treasury Department.

This might seem like a setback, but rest assured that the Dollars to Teheran part of the deal is probably still in effect (if it has not already happened)

Doesn’t matter. Obama and his Appeasing Marxist Euro Buddies will do nothing to stop the Persians from achieving their nuke goals. It’s all up to Israel and whatever Arab countries that are very quietly able to assist.

Sacajaweau :"Now there’s a surprise......."

A surprise now that some sanctions removed , and access to funds held in foreign accounts.
I wonder what the Obama response will be .. ?
Perhaps another sternly worded "post-It" note ??

This report has to be wrong. Iran is known for their desire for peace across the world. No way would they pull out of these peace discussions - they desperately want to stop their nuclear build up so they can’t make a bomb. s/s/s/s

OF COURSE THEY QUIT - this whole stop the nuclear work was a farce to begin with. The only way they stop building a bomb is if Israel blows their installations to dust.

Russia on Friday echoed Iran’s criticism of the new measures. “The US administration’s decision goes against the spirit of this document,” Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.
