Allow me to offer here...this morning's tribute to same:

This is such a one-party town. We need someone special to beat them (or a moneybags). I remember the NY County Committee meeting where we gave Rudy the nomination. Someone had brought noisemakers by the bagsful and handed them out at the door. When it got close to the time Rudy was to appear (he and his security detail never arrived on time or through the expected doorway), they started going. Roy Goodman stood on the platform flabbergasted. In all his years as state senator and county chair he had never seen enthusiasm like this. It went on and on. He couldn’t get the amazed smile off his face.

We need another person who grabs people’s hearts and imaginations to win. That’s how it seems to be these days. De Blasio did that with his dream family.
