After the 9/11 attacks, the public was told al Qaeda acted alone, with no state sponsors.
But the White House never let it see an entire section of Congress’ investigative report on 9/11 dealing with “specific sources of foreign support” for the 19 hijackers, 15 of whom were Saudi nationals.
It was kept secret and remains so today.
President Bush inexplicably censored 28 full pages of the 800-page report. Text isn’t just blacked-out here and there in this critical-yet-missing middle section. The pages are completely blank, except for dotted lines where an estimated 7,200 words once stood (this story by comparison is about 1,000 words).
A pair of lawmakers who recently read the redacted portion say they are “absolutely shocked” at the level of foreign state involvement in the attacks.
Reps. Walter Jones (R-NC) and Stephen Lynch (D-Mass.) can’t reveal the nation identified by it without violating federal law. So they’ve proposed Congress pass a resolution asking President Obama to declassify the entire 2002 report, “Joint Inquiry Into Intelligence Community Activities Before and After the Terrorist Attacks of September 11, 2001.”
Some information already has leaked from the classified section, which is based on both CIA and FBI documents, and it points back to Saudi Arabia, a presumed ally.

If the public knew, would there have been a clamor for a declaration of war against said countr(ies)? That is why it was redacted.

The Third Terrorist by Jayna Davis pops to mind...I’m sure SA had a lot to do with it - but until they are depleted with oil - nothign will be done...then again...we have Sharia Banking that is rising and with it - a new platform of support for these nations to continue their indoctrination of killing all non-moslems!
Those Saudi hijackers were financed and motivated by the Wahhabi. The Wahhabi are radical Saudi fundamentalists that are financed directly by the Saudi government. Otherwise the Wahhabi would begin to “criticize” the decadent private lifestyle of the House of Saud. Only a fool would believe that Saudi intelligence was unaware of the 9/11 plot and did nothing. Bush attacked the wrong country and must explain his actions to the American people.
Members of Congress reluctant to read the full report ought to remember that the 9/11 assault missed its fourth target: them.
I think many of us believed this from 9-12 onward, but this redacted section needs to be stolen and released, like the Snowden material. America needs to read it and know what really happened and why it really happened.
..............AND, if the gregarious, friendly, easy going, aw shucks GWB is found to have covered for his families Saudi billionaire buddies he should be arrested and tried for treason along with GHWB and Jeb if they had anything to do with it.
3,000 Americans died that day and the treasury lost TRILLIONS aided by “THE BUSH’s” this report CLEARLY states. This is by far more deaths than Pearl Harbor for which the United States HUNG Japanese leaders.
Instead of helping these vermin escape he should have been firing intercontinental ballistic missiles at the Saudis. For those that don’t know, Bandar is in the very top rung of Saudi leadership, similar to Tojo.
My god, if we can’t count on the patriotism of the Bushes who the hell can we trust. And, then there is our complicit, take no action, Republican Party.
If the U.S. government ever released all of the information about 9/11 it would become obvious to any objective person that the U.S. was on the wrong side in the Persian Gulf as far back as 1990.
This is why I will never criticize someone like Snowden or Julian Assange (of Wikileaks fame) in matters that allegedly relate to national security, no matter what the Fox News “traitor” talking points may be.
