The Sunday Morning Bray, by Bray!
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then; and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. Gal 5:1
When is the DNC going to apologize to the American people for destroying the finest insurance industry the world has ever seen? There are people actually suffering and worrying they may not have coverage in two weeks as opposed to the Marxist lies we heard about the so called crisis he invented to trick the people into going along with Obamacare. They passed a law and like all Soviet style tyrants they went back on their own bill and are trying to transform what they have into a turd milkshake. The problem with Marxists is they have no feelings for anybody outside of their preferred groups so there is absolutely no compassion for those losing their insurance policies. These are the White Americans he despises.
When Obama said, If you like your policy you can keep your policy, period, he knew he was lying and absolutely did not care. These dyed in the wool Marxists do not care about anything or anybody outside of promoting their agenda. They will do whatever it takes to expand their power and control to build their Soviet style utopia. They tell the people they are looking out for them by using smoke and mirror clichés such as the 1% vs the 99% when they want to replace the current power brokers with themselves. They continually lecture how you cannot trust the current capitalist leaders, yet you can trust them as a replacement when they are far less trustworthy than the people they want to replace.
The private market promotes by earning your advancement through measurable goals or it will fail in the marketplace. Private companies which continue to keep or advance incompetence will face an untimely end which is immediate feedback to those companies on what and who works and what doesnt. Private companies have a natural barometer of what is a good idea or manager and what is not by the bottom line and profit margin. The profit margin is an objective measure of what works and what does not which is what forces the private market to make the tough decisions as well as how to work efficiently. It has a natural measuring stick the public sector does not have or want.
The insurance industry began over a thousand years ago and the American Industry began during colonial times. Ben Franklin was one of the founders of an insurance company and they have continually developed techniques to spread the risk and predict their losses so the industry can cover as many people as possible. Not only do the companies spread the risk among their own policy owners, there is a cooperative which spreads the risk among companies called reinsuring. On top of reinsuring there is an even larger reinsurer called Lloyds of London which allows these companies to buy insurance for themselves in case of a catastrophic loss across the country which could potentially wipe out the entire company or industry.
These companies and industry have studied and developed these policies and reinsurances over the centuries to handle the risks which occur across so many diversities in a country this size. They have continually changed and improved their policies and services to meet a dynamic market throughout the country. The only thing standing in their way from creating even more aggressive and dynamic policies are the state and federal gummits which regulate them into things they would not do economically. These states pass laws forcing them to issue policies people do not want and force them to issue them without accurate underwriting which is the foundation of the industry.
The public sector has none of the barometers or expertise the private market requires. Obamacare had a bunch of Harvard eggheads write a utopian dream and turned a version of their beloved Nationalized Healthcare to the DNC and asked them to pass it. These overeducated idiots believe they are smarter than the market due to their Marxist brainwashing. They have believed the Ivy League drivel for so long and pushed their agenda in lockstep fashion without questioning the logic of their agenda. Since they all agree and have no opposition due to academic purging of dissidents there is no freedom of ideas let alone using a profit margin indicator of positive ideas. These academics believe everyone else will work for the common good while they pull down high six figure salaries.
Just like Global Warming and Evolution, these professors all agree as do the socialists in the DNC it would work so they passed a law to promote their agenda. The problem is, a couple hundred agenda driven pols are never going to match the combined intelligence of thousands of insurance experts. It never was a competition as to which one was going to provide the best coverage, but they used their clichés and media dragoons to brainwash America into believing they could somehow rewrite the insurance industry. Like the freak show barkers on the midway they model themselves after, the Mainstream Marxist Media promoted this hoax like the dutiful dunces they have always been. The American people are the victims of this alliance from Hades and in two weeks are about to enter an uninsured disaster.
There are so many details that go into an insurance policy there is no possible way an inefficient behemoth like the federal gummit could recreate it, let alone improve on it. There is no profit incentive to force these bureaucrats to work extra hours or streamline a procedure. Just like the website boondoggle, they are far more interested in graft and corruption than they are in actually providing affordable healthcare. So they punch the clock in their overpaid jobs knowing there is no accountability pretending to care about what they are doing and when it fails it fails. This is what the American taxpayer is paying for and with Obamacare, they are seeing and about to feel the failure of gummit. Now, for the next two years or longer we are going to suffer the effects of a small group of Marxists who believed their economic dinosaur could replace hundreds of years of financial fine tuning with a fraud and and a shoddily written law. In two weeks we enter into an economic nightmare called Obamacare and his lies will not turn this one into a milkshake.
Pray America is Waking
Note: The above opinion is not necessarily my own, but FReeper Brays. If you wish to discuss this, please ping Bray.
Obama is sweating it out....In Hawaii. Lazy, rotten ba*****.
Thanks for thread A.B. I am starting to see folks wake up. It is never too late to try.
MSM in all out push for the Big Government RINO/Leftist budget scam.
Great message Bray. I agree with you. But the earth abides, and we, the people, shall overcome and prevail over this dark chapter in our nation’s history.
Singing at 10 am mass this morning. Will return later. Thank you AB for doing this thread.
Precious darling granddaughter in Christmas play last night, was Elizabeth, mother of John the Baptist, AND the Magi who carried the myrrh.
She was so good my knees buckled with happiness. The audience gave her standing ovation.
Wonder where she gets that ham in her from?
Local funeral home had ceremony in memory of Mandela.
I volunteered to be the sign language interpreter.
Wonder what the major topic on FNS is going to be?
Mc’s back. I thought he was on his way to Ughastan or some former USSR province.
Don’t think I can listen to Kerry drone on and on.
Ryan is making some of the rounds. Too bad they don’t have Levin interviewing him. Ryan has turned into another Rubio = a great disappointment.
Obamacare & Healthcare.gov seem to be old news.
Budget and ohhhhh possible government shutdown is back, conveniently.
Sequester — it worked somewhat, so Boehner & Reid are trying to get rid of it.
It looks like the media is pushing “Gun Control Sunday”. I wonder if they’ll focus on Biden’s favored shotgun, in the hands of the Colorado shooter and also his anti gun and anti Republican rants? NOT
Good video by Monica Crowley on how we deal with Obamacare and the Democrat grand scheme to enslave us.
Clip of Boehner: I came to Washington to cut government and that is what this bill does.
[How much does it cut, Boehner? Or is this another spend now, cut later bill?]
[TW is fueling the flames against the eeeeeeevil Tea Party.]
Gingrich: the last shutdown didn’t work, so the Republicans learned a lesson from that.
Obamacare & Healthcare.gov seem to be old news.
Budget and ohhhhh possible government shutdown is back, conveniently.
In just a few weeks tens of thousands of the most ill citizens in our nation, those in the high risk pools eliminated by Comrade Obama and the Demoviks, will lose their access to specialist doctors, hospitals, clinics, therapies, even medications...
Are we gonna go around wishing one another “happy New Year” when it is the year of the death panel that is arriving?
WHERE OH WHERE is the conservative leader ready to ask simply how it is that the well-being of the government supercedes the well-being of advanced cancer patients, heart patients, etc?
WHO will stand up and say, “If we have to shut down Yellowstone Park in order to keep thousands of people alive, why aren’t we making a stand? No park ranger at the WWII monument so that others may live? THAT is what our boys died for in Europe and the Pacific—so that others may live.”
If our precious GOVERNMENT was honest, they’d move the park ranger from the gates of the monument to the front door of Sloane Kettering or the Mayo Clinic or Johns Hopkins so as to make sure the sick can’t get in.
And no one is willing to address this? No one is willing to stand for election on THIS issue?
Sens. John McCain, R-Ariz., and Dick Durbin, D-Ill.
Reichhhhhhhhhhhhhh: Tea Party is intimidating. It is good that it is getting shot down (by Boehner, et al).
[Amazing that the eeeeeeevil Tea Party is getting so much attention, considering it is an idea rather than an actual party. Of course, that is what scares the status quo politicians in Washington. Ideas can take down governments.]
Dont think I can listen to Kerry drone on and on.
Every time someone reflexively bashes Bush43 I want to scream, How would you have liked President Kerry????!!
MTP on first here, where they lead with a roundtable to set the agenda, then follow with Murray/Ryan interview.
Reichhhhhhhhh does a sneaky, says Republicans are against immigrants who come in undocumented.
[Yeah, Reichhhhhhh, that makes them ILLEGAL ALIENS! What is so difficult to understand about that concept?]
Female Panelist does see room for ‘a Christie or Jeb Bush’ in the GOP race, if 4 or 5 conservatives jump in and split the vote.
DING DING DING!
[We’ve known that since 2008!]
Ryan says the Pubbies need to win a few elections before they can make changes.
Yeah, but that big-tent-Dem-lite hasn’t worked so well and you professional politicians keep dissing the conservative base/Tea Party faction.
That doesn’t seem to be such a winning strategy. If it were not for the Tea Party/conservatives of 2010, you wouldn’t even have a majority in the House.
Another question for the pro-undocumented ‘new Americans’ (the name Gov O’Malley of MD uses):
Do you have locks on the doors to your home? Do you use them?
We know it doesn't cut the budget, gives away some sequester cuts, moves real cuts to out years which are rarely enacted by future congress's. Is the potential gain worth it ? Are rumors that Boehner will step down related to this inter-party debate?
We know Reid will create trouble and try to create another shutdown (probably via extending unemployment benefits), because Pubbies have shown they will back down, so I'm sceptical. Flame away.
But thankfully the Mandela Memorial Lovefest is over, especially as it turned out to be such a disaster everybody wants to forget about it.
Perhaps the GOP would prefer the Tea Party left their “big tent”?
Interesting that Boehner seemed to have a phobia about microphones until he decided to bash Americans of conservative persuasion. He might as well have been a deaf mute for all the commentary we heard all during the past year.
I have mixed emotions on this budget. If, IF, IF this deal avoids a shutdown and elects more Reps. and a majority of Senators it may well be the best tact.
The budget deal is the the Empire striking back. The GOPe has done nothing but double down on the tip toe to the election strategy since Cruz made them look like impotent buffoons. It is proof that they have no intention of engaging the Dems on anything of substance for the next 3 years. That being the case, how does electing more GOPers help?
I once made a comment about people who ran for local village boards, fire districts, etc. = "You need small people to run small governments". Unfortunately we have small people running our country. How sad.
Finest insurance industry the world has ever seen? The healthcare insurance industry went all-in on Obamacare. They loved the idea of forcing people to buy their product and reducing the number of plans available. For them, it was shooting fish in a barrel. And the government guaranteed that they would suffer no losses thru "risk corridors."
I have no sympathy for the healthcare insurance industry. They spent tens of millions on propaganda supporting Obamacare. They sent contributions to the Obama election campaign. They are enablers who deserve everything they get. They are part of the crony capitalism that is destroying the country. With government (federal, state, and local) controlling over 40% of the GDP, is it any wonder that corporate America looks to government to determine winners and losers?
And the corporate elites have a symbiotic relationship with government. They get the contracts and in exchange, they provide the money to the political class. He who pays the piper, calls the tune.
The DNC is not destroying the insurance industry, the insurance industry is destroying the insurance industry. It has become politicized.
Or was that Hillary that Newt shared a bench with? The memory is the second thing to go, and I don’t remember what goes first...
Boehner may know that too, which is why immigration won't die. It'll have less chance after November.
The Michael Hayden interview on MTP is worth watching/hearing.
Given Sebellius' request/demand insurance companies extend policies at cost to the insurance companies, one must wonder what they've been promised and why they're not protesting. Obie has surely told them privately, "taxpayers will cover any losses you may incur."
So, yes, insurance companies are complicit. But do I want them shuttered ?....to make single payer inevitable ?
And why should we almost triple the intake of legal permanent immigrants over the next ten years, double the size of the guest worker program, and legalize the status of 11 to 20 million lawbreakers? We have over 20 million Americans unemployed or underemployed. How does importing tens of millions of immigrants help Americans find jobs? What is the impact on the social welfare system where immigrants, legal and illegal, use services to a far greater extent than the native born.
The GOPe is intent on political suicide. Throwing Obama a lifeline with immigration reform will ensure that they lose the 2014 midterms and divide the party to such an extent that a third party will emerge. In the meantime, Obama continues with his backdoor amnesty and creating his own immigration reform thru unconstitutional Executive Orders.
I fear we are being played again.
While all demoncrat numbers are down with the regime and zero care hitting a new low the sad thing is they only have one place to go and that's up.
Enter amnesty. Which boner has already said he will take up in the House. Sort of a self destruct measure for rinos, if he does will amnesty suck out all the oxygen for the 2014 elections if the dems time it right? If so we may have to kiss the Senate good bye..............
I just watched the "bi-partisan meet" on MTP with dnc Dave. The mere thought of Paul Ryan giving in to Patty Murray yet another avowed socialist,is most disgusting.
Political strategy plays into this one as well. If Ryan does not make nice and become bi-partisan and let the dems off the no meeting with us hook/debacle they have had he looks bad. He will suffer in the partisan press and if he does let them off the hook we always lose like the 60 vote requirement for tax increases and all the good the sequester was doing.
He probably had to do it. He was sufficiently boxed in by the axelrod/DNC strategists. We lost the political strategy game once again.
is this the first time the dems have boxed us into a no win corner? Hell No and won't be the last.
Its all political strategy and we constantly lose.
Both Ryan and boner need to take several courses in political strategy before they go up against the dems again,we keep getting our asses kicked.
Even under single payer, the insurance companies will thrive. Nine out of every 10 Medicare recipients have supplemental private insurance to cover costs that Medicare, a single payer system, does not cover.
The insurance companies are not going to be shuttered. And single payer is probably inevitable because the public will eventually demand it as Obamacare fails. With only 40% of doctors accepting Medicaid patients and more and more doctors not accepting Medicare patients, I can see a public outcry demanding that doctors and hospitals must accept all Medicare and Medicaid patients despite the low reimbursement rates. Just like the annual "Doc fix," the reimbursement rates will be raised and then we will go into single payer.
Awesome just too good thanks!
The Reps wanted to be boxed in or at least portray the choices that way. The Reps could have just passed a clean CR, which would have kept the entire sequester in place. Instead, the Reps caved so they could allocate more money to defense. The Dems received a one to one increase in spending for domestic spending. The sequester was intended by the WH to cause pain and the split of the cuts was made between defense and domestic spending to make sure that the sequester would be lifted. Both parties support Big Government and big spending. This deal is just more smoke and mirrors to deceive the public.
Paur Ryans’ comments regarding the need for Republican control of the House, Senate and presidency before they can “accomplish” any positive changes leaves me very cold.
I no longer trust the Republicans. THe Buss II years were a tremendous disappointment. I will vote for NON-incumbent in upcoming primaries in early March.
Great post Tom the war on rinos needs to continue every bit as much as the war on socialism/communism we wage against the demoncrats.
Huh. Two Liberals.
The sad thing is that the regime may try and lay all the blame on the failure of zero care on the insurance companies and if you are right which you usally are, they may succeed.
What choice did the insurance industry have? The law was going to be passed and they were going to be the vehicles to destroy themselves in the end. The original plan was for Nationalized HC, but even the Dems couldn’t buy into that, so they went with the mandatory method.
Same with Medicare, they could play along or die; some choice. They do all the claim processing and are allowed to sell supplement plans.
It is easy to bash the insurance industry, just like banking we have to sever the regulations.
The insurance companies are willing partners. As long as the government keeps its promise to bail them out on any losses, they will gladly keep their mouths shut and accept the blame. They will gladly play the bad cop to Obama’s good cop as long as they get paid.
You just touched on my biggest fear that boner will take up immigration(amnesty)and we will once again snatch defeat while as of right now we have sure victory.
I still see it all as political strategy both short term, long term and as it occurs. We seem to lose at every turn.
Well put Kabar.
The insurance industry are rent seekers, like most large organizations / corporations. They made their bed and we shall see what that will lead to.
If we start to see “Pay for service” start to take hold with Doctors, this will lead to some interesting developments in the Hospitals. Eliminations, bankruptcies, mini surgery centers? This could inadvertently lead to a Capitalist medical revolution
