My doggie had to play in the mud with her friends, then a bath with Aveeno Oatmeal Bath and body wash....now resting comofrtable in MY place on the sofa. ha.
If there is something WORSE than listening to John Kerry drone on about Vietnam is having Radditz nasal twang interview him...This should be Torture used in Quantanoma.
The continuing face of John kerry really tests my belief that God will deal with the unjust and evil. Now Kerry is talking about “suffering” quoting the Bible...well, he sure knows as he was wounded in Vietnam, even had a band aid !
these sunday shows are more and more just a Lib banal lovefest.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Dick Durbin, D-Ill.
Actually delusional how these folks talk about the TEA Party.
Simple as this, You are dumb if you vote for the budgets where outflows exceed the inflows.
Exactly! Its that slimy, deceitful, hidden under the covers type of legislation that gives dc the names they deserve.
Perhaps the worst part according to Mark Levin is the fact that spending bills now in the Senate only require simple majorities to get through! How the(expletive deleted) did that happen?
No problem. Obama can delay those aspects of the law until after the elections. Our hero!
did anyone else have their mailman deivering packages today??
Your fears are well-founded. The GOPe wants an increase in the guest worker programs to meet the demands of their corporate paymasters. They will use amnesty as a bargaining chip to get that done. Boehner, Cantor, Goodlatte, Pete Sessions, McCarthy, Issa, and others are all on-board for immigration reform this session of Congress.
They will pass piecemeal bills on guest workers, border security, a GOP version of the Dream Act, and employer verification. They will be sent to the Senate, which will pair it with the Gang of 8 bill and then go to conference where a bill will emerge that resembles the Gang of 8 bill. This will pass with 25 to 50 GOPs in the House voting for it along with the Dems. It has been the strategy all along.
The GOPe underestimates the impact it will have on the base. They believe conservatives have nowhere else to go. They will be surprised. This could be the issue that takes the GOP down and results in a third party movement. Count me in if they pass comprehensive immigration reform. There is no benefit to having a Rep controlled House or Senate. The GOP is not called the Stupid Party for nothing.
Sigh. It looks like the first order of the day is to kick some Republican a$$ in 2014.
Yep, the marketplace will develop its own healthcare delivery system. We will have two tiered system--one for those who have the money to afford it and another for the great unwashed. In terms of quality the former will be far superior to the latter.
Intimdation, Hawaiian health director dying in mysterious plane crash, death threats to any who opposes the regime, supreme court justices declaring laws legal because they have been blackmailed, destruction of fbi, cia, military officers, you name,it. No one will stand up to these bastards.
They feel empowered to do anything and always double down on whatever they do.
Fareed Zakaria GPS(CNN):
Zakaria is talking about Capitalism for Cuba while I am positive he supports spread the wealth for America, I posted something about that a few years ago when he said it on his show. Of course the Video is no longer there...
Let the Bush Tax Cuts Expire(Video, CNN’s Fareed Zakaria)
CNN ^ | August 1, 2010 | Fareed Zakaria
Looks like the GOP can use a few more cups of Tea. We have their attention and now is the time to defeat them.
I take that back, here it is;
Let the Bush tax cuts expire
CNN’s Fareed Zakaria says the easiest way to cut the deficit is to let the Bush tax cuts expire.
The Dems are solidifying their control of government knowing full well that they are now the permanent majority party, at least on the national level. I don’t see any path for the GOP to get the WH in 2016. The electoral math is inescapable.
Here’s a couple of quotes;
CNNs Fareed Zakaria
“George Bush cut taxes irresponsibly for everyone”
“Clinton era rates strongest growth in 3 decades”
“extend unemployment benefits”
“unemployment benefits work”
Paur Ryans comments regarding the need for Republican control of the House, Senate and presidency before they can accomplish any positive changes leaves me very cold.
The GOPe ran up the white flag and are taking a powder until 2016. Conservatives should do the same in Nov. 2014. No more party line support for these progressive Republican buffoons.
I still say lets just kick their ass now and take over the party. If we go third party we still have to kick their ass it will be lot easier from the inside than the outside.
Exactly, they keep getting out of line without the numbers to back what they are doing. We can and will kick their asses. Out of the party if necessary or they can get in line and get conservative or GTFO.
I see the path. It goes along the road of 90-150 million lost health insurance policies replaced with a big huge third world policy that is basically useless. There’s your path.
I couldn't agree more. Effectively, there is no opposition party.
We need a good sustained war on rinos. They are worse than dems.
Boehner has thrown down the gauntlet. Now is the time to challenge the GOPe and let them see the consequences. If Boehner is spoiling for a fight, we must give it to him or lose all credibility.
I don’t think the Destroy America Act of 2014 will go to a real conference. It will be a fake conference lite like the budget deal. Ryan seems happy to stab poor & middle class America in the back and he will take the lead again would be my guess.
I wish I could agree with you, but issues don't seem to matter any more. We are in the era of tribal politics.
The Dems will blame the Reps for the failure of Obamacare citing their lack of willingness to help fix (tweak) the problems rather than trying to repeal Obamacare and hurt all those who have benefited from Obamacare, i.e., the poor, the sick, the children (up to age 26), and those on expanded Medicaid. The Dems will fall back on the rhetoric they used to justify Obamacare in the first place.
As if Government spending more than they take in works...
"In fact, the Ryan-Murray deal, which raises the spending caps imposed under sequestration while reducing the amount military retirees receive, amounts to a bailout of the defense industry on the backs of veterans. With its budget cuts, sequestration and government shutdown, this year has been more trying for military families than the worst of the war years. I'm afraid that after all that my community has given in time, tears and lives, the country we served might be trying to skip out on the check."
Rebekah Sanderlin (an Army wife, Military Spouse of the Year finalist, and a writer who focuses on military issues. She, her husband and their three children are stationed at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida. She is an advisory board member of the Military Family Advisory Network)
Alas, I have read numerous media stories and accounts of how this "deal" that betrays current military serving in uniform and retired military. By almost all counts, the chief architect who insisted on screwing the soldier, sailor, and airman was Paul "Benedict Arnold" Ryan.
From all that I have gathered, it is obvious that he has contempt for "working age" retired military.
Shame on him, the back stabbing GOP, and all who voted for this travesty.
I think we are in more agreement than you know. What you call tribal politics I call political strategy. Either way it does control the outcome of events and we need to get on the winning side instead of the losing side of outcomes.
The future of the country is at stake.
Some people still think we had the power to shut down the govt. when we never did.
Morning Cousin Mike,
I know that you are right about the health insurance jumping into bed with Obamacare.
My question to you is.....what else could they do?
If you have a business and all of a sudden you are told it’s either my way or the highway, what do you do?
Understand I have no love for these folks but I ponder just what do I do if it’s going out of business or going along with what was, at the time remember, going to be a law embraced by the citizenry.
Now they’re dying a death by a thousand cuts which they deserve I must suppose.
I see a huge implosion of Obamacare next year as these problems keep smacking us in the face. Losing doctors, proper reimbursement....imagine those poor people showing up in the ER thinking they have health insurance and they don’t
I think the American people are going to take care of all this themselves. I don’t think but few are going to sign up and finally the legislature will have to get together and salvage something....even if the salvaging involves getting rid of the mess all together.
THEN those health insurance companies will wish they hadn’t betrayed us so.
I do NOT like this new budget deal....at all. But I’m holding my rancor.
For I think it’s just as well that early in 2014 we’re not talking about budgets, sequesters and debt ceilings because Obamacare will be all the pre-occupation. THIS affects us all.
Imagine the next State of the Union speech, the Dems forced to sit in their seats and applaud the President’s lies.
You can fool ALL of the people SOME of the time. You can fool SOME of the people ALL of the time. You can’t fool ALL of the people ALL of the time.
2014 will bring a new dynamic in our legislature.
In my more kind moments I’d like to thin the pubs might have done this money thing intentionally, with a plan in mind to inundate the public with problems with Obamacare.
One can dream, can’t one?
== That doesnt seem to be such a winning strategy. If it were not for the Tea Party/conservatives of 2010, you wouldnt even have a majority in the House.
Yeah, but that big-tent-Dem-lite hasnt worked so well and you professional politicians keep dissing the conservative base/Tea Party faction.
You're exactly right.
When Republicans don't fight on the budget you get two problems.
One, low info voters don't realize that there is a spending problem.
And two, voters who do think that there is a spending problem, can't tell the difference between a Republican and a Democrat.
They will outlaw supplemental private insurance.
With regards to the Military
How many remember back in the 80’s when base closing was an issue?
If you believe (as I do) the function of the military is to kill people and destroy things, than we have a hollow military. Women in the military???? This is absurd on its face. Supporting roles - big maybe.
The civilian command structure is to blame. History repeats itself, Rome servers as a good example. The local politician has a base in the local community, the “military” employes locals. How does this help killing people and destroying things?
The RULES of engagement - Another asinine concept controlled by the civilian (elected) leadership.
And remembering the bill to avoid the sequester at the end of the “fiscal cliff”, Democrats got their tax increases and Republicans got stuck with the Sequester deal anyhow;
American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012
United States fiscal cliff
Newt & Nancy on loveseat re Climate Change!!!
O will make insurance companies public utilities, all costs covered and paid by taxpayers.
Let’s look at this in depth;
United States fiscal cliff
The fiscal cliff would increase tax rates and decrease government spending through sequestration, and lead to an operating deficit (the amount by which government spending exceeds its revenue) which was projected to be reduced by roughly half in 2013.
The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) had estimated that the fiscal cliff would have likely led to a mild recession with higher unemployment in 2013, followed by strengthening in the labor market with increased economic growth.
we need a new coach
Agreed ROES are just one of many problems we have with the war on the military which continues unabated.Just think how far the MB could get if our military was destroyed the way this regime is trying it s best to do.
No question the team sucks on political strategy.
So increasing taxes and decreasing spending leads to a deficit?
The sad part: Democrats got their tax increases, taking more out of the private sector, thus decreasing the size of the private sector.
Tax increases, especially on investors and small businesses, also hurt economic growth in more than one way.
1) By taking more money out of the economy that could otherwise have been spent on growing a business and hiring workers; and
2) By changing the incentives against productive work and investment, which slows growth over the long term.
I sadly disagree. A third party won't do any better than the current GOPe, and will be just as corruptible.
Face it, we're soooo screwed.
Conservatives are a minority in a minority party, and while I keep hearing people say the United States is a conservative nation, there are way too many stupid people voting on emotion, and the leftists own the media, colleges, schools, and entertainment industries and use them collectively to get tweak the emotions of the stupid to get liberal democrats elected and drum out the vote from their ignorant but pliable underlings.
Meanwhile, thinking coservatives are too busy... Thinking. And then we have the Perfect conservatives who only vote for the Perfect Candidate. Like Diogenes of Siope, looking for an honest man...
There aren't any PERFECT candidates! ONLY what we HAVE. But that is enough for US to lose, and the worst candidate (Obama) WIN! Hey, the bright side! At least no Lefty RINO Mormon is running things!!!!
The whole 2012 election came down to the ground game and get-out-the-vote effort, and we lost on both counts.
I can't see the GOPe, a GOPc (c for conservative) or a third party doing better in national or key statewide elections unless that changes.
The GOPe is intent on political suicide. Throwing Obama a lifeline with immigration reform will ensure that they lose the 2014 midterms and divide the party to such an extent that a third party will emerge. In the meantime, Obama continues with his backdoor amnesty and creating his own immigration reform thru unconstitutional Executive Orders.
Yup. That is exactly what will happen.
A third party of conservatives will abandon the Republican party.
However, it will not REPLACE the Republican party, but only DESTROY it.
The democrats will emerge even more triumphant than they were in 2008.
They will then look around, and do the things to make their ascendary permanent.
Goodbye America as we new it.
The perfect is indeed the enemy of the good.
Go ahead and doubt me, and I will beg you to be true! But it will not change what I predict.
Did anyone doubt that tax and spend is what liberals do,little new here. Except for how we will stop their advance.
A moderate Mooselip is one who only wants to kill Christians and Jews. A radical Mooselimb wants to kill Moderate Mice.
AB - You paint a dreary, but possibly accurate picture...unless, unless the DEMOCRAT party changes.
Are there no cracks in that monolithic boogeyman? Do we have to send in Bilbo to ferret out the secret path through the mountain (rather than over or under it)?
Sure, Zel Miller and Joe Lieberman came back on their shields, but there must be a strategy to divide and conquor the many factions. Historically Democrats were not so cohesive. The Dem-elite comes out and says OK we are pro-abortion, anti-gun, pro-amnesty, pro-Gay.. you name it, and they all “seem” to buy in. But do they? We know Blacks are not that wild about Gays or a new wave of Hispanics to displace them in job pool. Many Hispanics have conventional values and morarlity. I mean, we should be trying to recruit all these factions. Educate, educate!
Don’t just roll over and show them your tummy and wag your tail. Do something.
It’s my prediction, not what I want to happen. I’ll go down fighting!
People are just too damn dumb. And TV is just too good a brain washer, and now peer pressure and social media is extending the brain washing faster and farther than ever.
Teachers teach... Leftism. Peer pressure encourages it and ensures NO ONE leaves the reservation.
Bill Ayers went from Commie terrorist to college professor. He didn’t need a weatherman to tell which way the wind blows!
Try to watch a movie—Set your Leftist Filter to High. You cannot miss it—it’s everywhere!
The young seek acceptance. Rock stars give it to them, IF they vote and think correctly. Who wants to disagree with the cool?
