President Obamas support among young voters has fallen to 45 percent, according to a new USA Today/Pew Research Center Poll. Forty-five percent of young Americans aged 18 to 29 said they approved of Obamas job performance, compared with 46 percent who disapproved.

The headline however, should be;
55% of young adult Americans are hopelessly ill informed or terminally ignorant.
He can win them back in a heartbeat, if he signs an executive order to forgive their student loans and legalize Pot.. Don’t laugh, and I shouldn’t be giving them any ideas.. jus sayin.. :)
These things are very difficult to predict.
I predicted that no POTUS could be re-elected with 8% unemployment, $4 gas, surging food prices, and trillion dollar deficts to the end of time.
I failed to comprehend the power of entitlements. While Obamacare is loaded with problems, it IS designed to reward a lot of Obama voters with Medicaid and subsidies.
The Dems have a powerful GOTV apparatus via OFA so nobody should think Republicans are going to have a cake walk in 2014.
The student loan deal is definitely gonna happen.
When the kiddies get nervous about granny’s early demise due to the Death Panels, the regime will send them Groupons for student loan remission.
It’s the new AGE OF AQUEERIOUS, and givME generation.. *%$*^(
They may be sour on Obama, but not on Democrats. Remember, much of the negative reaction to Obamacare is because it doesn’t go far enough. Go to DU, many are down on Obama, because they see him as governing center right.
Every time I think I’m a little to negative, and that Americans aren’t as stupid as I think they are, I’m given evidence that they are even dumber than I thought.
America is a center left country now. A big reason is, in the past seniors could be counted on to pull the country to the right. Now we have boomers as seniors. Boomers, in general, haven’t matured and still cling to their leftist, hippie inspired views.
Or in other (helpful to the state) cases give them Menendez brother rebates or Kevorkian credits for their contributions/deny-care signatures on the documents of the collective, for the collective, by the collective. Adios, granny & gramps mom & dad.
He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us
Exactly. We may survive the Obammunist, but we won't survive the generation that put him in office...unless we quit talking and get busy deprogramming them.
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
There is over $ 1T (yes, one trillion dollars) in outstanding student loans.
Look out kids
No doubt it translates into less turn out for Dems in 2014 than there would be if these kiddies were still excited about Obama .so it helps in 14 for sure, maybe only around the margins .or maybe more than that.
They didn’t turn out in 2010, and they were more jazzed about Obama at that point.
but you are missing two important points vis a vis 2014:
A: Romney Campaign will not be setting the message.
B: Turn outs in mid terms are lower by far, and especially for younger folks.
C: Don’t forget 2010 .
I think both measures would required Congressional legislation. That is not going to happen right now.
I completely believe Romney woul be better than Obama, if only by imcrements. But there was much more at play during the last election than the facts on the ground.
American young people have more integrity than you’re giving them credit for... I’m surprised to feel so much contempt for them...
Perhaps they’re maturing a bit.
I don’t think it was the entitlements. Truly, I think it was because he was black. Period. White guilt and all. And the supposed ‘cool’ factor for the youngsters. These are people who are not particularly political, so there had to be another reason to get their attention. The ‘historic’ quality of a black man’s election was the biggest deal for them.
I worry that they will be pushing another ‘historic’ election with a woman (Hillary, Elizabeth Warren) at the top of the ticket, & the low-fo voters will turn out again. Our education system has negated their ability to think logically, and they still don’t seem to realize that the leftist policies they’re voting for are what’s making it so hard on people.
You read my post? Surprised? Contempt? .. Really? .. OK ..:)
No, they will not dump the ‘Rats. They can’t wait to support
Bill Clinton’s enabler wife.
I don't believe all political choices are made based on money... well - other than by lowlife democrats who would sell their grandmothers for a 5 minute advantage... but back to the subject....
My point was young people are NOT all sell outs. All of them can't be bought like prostitutes... Dems can probably be bought because it's who they are - but there are American young people who will grow up to be conservatives who aren't for sale. And your idea wouldn't work on them.
Not everyone’s a whore or equivalent - just sayin....
OK, so they won’t vote for Obama, and at this point, what difference does it make? The big question is, will they vote for BILLARY, over anyone put up by the GOP? What has the GOP to offer them, certainly not free stuff. With so many students into social sciences these days, what would attract them to the GOP? The days of “I need a job” has turned into “Why should I work?”. The old hard earned living no longer exists for most of the voters today. If the GOP wants to win, they will have to produce “National” industries that supply jobs. Bring back the manufacturing base we had,and bring America back on the right track.
You’re absolutely correct. No broad brush applies here.
Our problem is the numbers are trending in the direction of the bad guys.
Not every young person wants to live the “life of Julia” but a significant number do.
For those of you who have given up on the younger generations, there's hope!
If we're lucky we'll also get change.
You totally 'get it'... Thanks.
Obama’s approval rating among HISPANICS has fallen 23% over the past year, while it’s fallen slightly less than that among MILLENIALS during the same period.
Yet the media hardly mentions Obama’s problems with Hispanics, not to mention other important Democratic interest groups.
If the media were to focus attention on the high degree of disenchantment with Obama and his Democratic supporters, potential Democratic campaign contributors would be reluctant to open their checkbooks to support Democrats in the 2014 elections. So don’t expect the liberal media to make an issue out of the Democrats’ sudden, unprecedented loss of their various voter bases.
My post indicated that those that voted for Oblameu the last two times would do so again, given he would once again promise them more perks.. I raised 5 kids as a single dad, and am now raising two grandkids, none of which would even consider voting for a liberal..
However, I am also exposed to all of my neighborhood children and most of their parents don’t even cook dinner, so they eat at my home most every night of the week, with my grandkids.. I do it for the kids, and to feed them better than they would get at their homes..
Those kids are great, but they will be influenced by their liberal parents, and they are mostly spoiled to keep them quiet.. As wonderful as they are, they would follow anyone that would promise them something free.. It’s sad, but true..
