Another hard lesson to learn for anyone that would trust in the myth of efficiency from a monolithic collectivism-based government to legislate any aspect of an individuals life. Stories range from Marylands exchange director going on vacation (as the O-Care exchange website imploded) to dishonesty at the highest levels as Sebelius ducks questions on the Lie of the Year.
Now this report of Washington state families who cant pay their bills because the WA State Exchange is erroneously debiting funds from their bank accounts.
...
For the second week in a row, the Washington Healthplanfinder website is down, and its causing problems for people who are dealing with billing issues. Some of them say the website is mistakenly debiting their accounts.
Shannon Bruner of Indianola logged on to her checking account Monday morning, and found she was almost 800 dollars in the negative.

I thought that was the plan all along.
Did she pay using her debit card?
In any cases like this the bank should automatically put a hold on your card if it discovers any suspicious or irregular activity on the account.
the article comments are illuminating...
Any criticism is racist.
Suckers. Keep the “change”
It seems that only those who enrolled are being raped? — good advertisement for O’care.

No. She gave them their bank account # and instructed the state to draft her account on December 24.
They drafted the account, alright. On December 9.
They were invited by e-mail to "view your invoice". Which would have alerted them -- had the website not been down for the past week.
Meanwhile, the libs are raving about the Washington state website for being the "most state-of-the-art" -- because it's already signed up 17% of the state's population (over 85% in Medicaid). Yet, the back-end has been rife with errors.
Recall the lady who wrote Obama, thanking him for Obamacare, whom he then praised nationally? But the website had quoted her the wrong price...and she couldn't afford the correct price.
Always fund Government first! Anything else is just abstract!
Do any of those Government fools actually sign on here and have questions? Sorry, not fools, just Government stooges.
Enrollees are going to be on a sharp learning curve.
I say to the Bruner’s that if you were among the 56.2% of socialist/unionists Washingtonians that voted for Obama.........then tough s___!
If on the other hand you were among the 41.3% that voted for Romney, and to quote Mrs. Bruner..........yes ma’am, you did indeed “get screwed”. But, my god, what do you expect? What program can you name in the entire history of the US government that they did not screw up? And, you ain’t seen nothing yet! Wait until your kid is sick and you have to deal with this bureaucracy!
I guarantee that when rent checks bounce because accounts are being dunned for Obamacare, people will be angry.
One of the things I predicted was that in time, the IRS would do this exact same thing. Only, the States are beating them to it. But give the IRS time, and this will be small potatoes compared to what the IRS is going to do.
When I saw the headline Washington State and State is spelled with a capital “S”, I thought they were talking about Washington State University.
My pet peeve about misuse of capitol letters is with the adjective, "black". I see it too frequently in articles that discuss "Black" people. The word "white" is never capitalized in those articles, unless it's the first word in a sentence and just can't be avoided.
Black is the only color that is a race. Chinese are yellow. But that’s racist. The American Indian is red. That’s racist. White, as in white people, is used to describe evil devils so I’m not sure if it should be capitalized or not.
