Two survivors of the plane crash off Molokai were sitting directly behind Hawaii Department of Health Director Loretta Fuddy when the aircraft went down Wednesday afternoon. Fuddy died in the crash.

Not quite useless.
What does ‘we had a bang’ mean shortly after the plane took off? We didn’t have that information before.
The plane went down as was previously reported by a pilot in another plane. Did he witness what “bang” the couple talked about?

The bang could have been a compressor stall..happens when you change power setting to fast. It can cause damage to the engine.

The US Navy salvaged the Japanese fishing vessel sunk by the showboating submarine Captain.
That vessel was about 2000 feet deep if I remember and we’re supposed to believe that an airplane a few hundred yards off shore is irrecoverable?
