George Zimmerman can now add "painter" to his resume after the former neighborhood watchman purportedly listed an original painting on eBay.

The 18-by-24-inch canvas features a blue, waving American flag with the words, "God, one nation, with liberty and justice for all" emblazoned across it.

The auction was posted Monday at a starting bid of 99 cents and is scheduled to end Saturday. As of Tuesday morning, 98 bids were logged for the painting, ratcheting the price up to $99,966. The next bid would top $100,000.

Zimmerman's brother, Robert Zimmerman Jr., confirmed that George painted the piece.

"Everyone has been asking what I have been doing with myself. I found a creative, way to express myself, my emotions and the symbols that represent my experiences," the item description reads. "My art work allows me to reflect, providing a therapeutic outlet and allows me to remain indoors."(continued)

Nothing to wonder about, he was assaulted and defended himself.

The only thing I would have done differently would be to shoot sooner.

Actually, Picasso could paint very, very well. That didn't pay so well. At one point he was freezing in an abandoned building and had to set his own paintings on fire for heat. He eventually found there was more money in cubism.

Actually, Picasso was one of the few artists who actually made a good living from his work while alive. He only did the "starving artist" bit for a few years, very early on. He lived quite well the rest of his life.

True, but he seems to be a different person these days. That does make you wonder about his statements earlier - at least to me. I can understand that maybe his ordeal made him into what he is now, but that is not a good thing.

Oh yes, he did ask for all the publicity that he has received in the last couple of years! That is his problem!

First of all, they run the risk of their bid winning which is a legally binding contract and could cause someone legal liability if they fail to pay up.

Secondly, it looks like this IS Zimmerman because he's posted a photo of him posing with his artwork and it does not appear to be Photoshopped.

That's insane. How did he ask for the MSM to make things up and cover him relentlessly? How did he ask the FL gov to get a special prosecutor to make a case against him? How did he ask the race baiters to come out of the woodwork and harass him?

You have no idea what you're talking about.

Sorry, but his actions that caused his several arrests and court actions against him were his actions - after the fact! Those are police actions that were because of his actions - not anyone else.

So if you want to excuse that, that is your choice. He was within his rights earlier but with his actions later, I question him...that is my right.

It is also my choice to realize that all of those things happened since his trial concluded on July 14th 2013 which was five months ago not two years ago. It hasn't even been two years since he shot that thug on Feb. 26th 2012. The story didn't get national coverage until the middle of March 2012.

So when someone says "he did ask for all the publicity that he has received in the last couple of years! That is his problem!" I know for a fact they they either don't know a damn thing about it or they have some agenda.

I'll bet you can't even name the "police actions" that have
happened to GZ since he was acquitted five months ago.

No, this is not about Travon - that has long been settled (and rightly so in my opinion). I’m talking about his actions after this event and they have not been exactly what you would expect of a normally innocent fellow.

Now I understand that duress and other pressures might make a difference, but come on, do you really thing that the following problems are due to this?

What this means is that he is a strange fellow and seems to relish breaking the law. So... beginning to wonder about him... Just how hard is that to understand?

Tiger, you are just jumping to conclusions and also wanting to fight where there is no question about the outcome.

I can understand if you are a relative but really, other than that, you are way out on a limb here...

Well, I sense that you are either related or have close relations to him so..

He received at least two speeding tickets and a court order against him (regarding is girl friend) so that means that he was having some problems of his own. Sorry, but I know that speeding tickets are usually because of problems with concentration - but will leave that up to your expertise.

Now you, with your insight might know different but to us peons, it seems that he was having some problems after the breakup.

If you have information other than that, please let us know.

Either way, or any way - his actions after the fact gave me no assurance of his actions prior to this - ie, the shooting (which of course I assumed his innocence).

So, two speeding tickets and the false report by his girlfriend. Wow! You forgot the false report by his wife. All of which was worthy of national press coverage right? Especially those speeding tickets. Stop the presses.

FWIW I never heard of him until the MSM made him a story (less than two years ago) but I not the Rules for Radicals Alinsky tactic of trying to tie me to him with a lie (repeat it enough and people will believe it) and polarizing me with that false association.
