Here is the 'thank you' letter Barack Obama sent to Shepard Fairey:
"Dear Shepard, I would like to thank you for using your talent in support of my campaign. The political messages involved in your work have encouraged Americans to believe they can help change the status quo. Your images have a profound effect on people, whether seen in a gallery or on a stop sign. I am privileged to be a part of your artwork and proud to have your support. I wish you continued success and creativity.
Sincerely, Barack Obama.'"

To be fair to Toadie Souza, the press propagandizes too. I find it disturbing they don’t see this, though it is good (for the country) to have them mad at Obama.
The LSM made their bed...now, it’s time to sleep in it.
Pull those covers up tight, fellas...
I’m sure that Leni also bristled at the criticism that she received.
(OK, at least Leni had some amazing artistic talent, but she deployed it in service of an ugly cause and leader. The glorification of Obama in service of his cult of personality and his agenda is just as ugly.)
“bypass the media by releasing a sanitized visual record of his activities through official photographs and videos at the expense of independent journalistic access,”
They Obamaed in their own bed, let them sleep in it.
Pete Souza just likes taking photos of his messiah with halos around his head.
Methinks the lady doth protest too much.
I keep telling you people....
The regime realizes “old media” is in bad financial straits.
They are just giving the media a cost cutting method by providing “official” photos and videos.
Dump those expensive camera jockeys, technicians, etc.
Every photographer wants a good shot of his subject. Souza should not be blamed for that.
Souza’s work isn’t propaganda in and of itself. The way his work is used, however, is. That’s the unfortunate part and in this case it’s true.
A good example is the picture last week of Obama and Bush 43 on Air Force 1 on the way to South Africa. This was a double propaganda gain. It showed Obama wish a typical SE grin, while depicting Bush looking quite odd. Propaganda, indeed.
The flak is always heaviest when you're over the target."
However, he also doesn't want all those pesky reporters around when he wants to slouch around in gym clothes or take naps during the day.
Having only one photographer suits him just fine.
