Top 100 wasteful gov't projects.

What did the GOP do about these when they controlled the house, the Senate and the White House?
Senator Coburn gets political mileage out of this, but his answer to Obamacare is to amend it, not get rid of it.
He wants to turn Obamacare into something that offers a better health insurance marketplace. Coburn still wants to make people buy health insurance like Mitt Romney did with Romneycare in Massachusetts.
Coburn comes off to me as another business as usual politician.
Coburn is a RINO. Wonder what he voted on Ryan’s bill?
And they say we are not targeted by Obama's regime.
tip of the iceberg
Back when Senator Cruz stood up to speak against Obamacare, Coburn was not on board.
He offered his way to deal with it when interviewed in September on “Face The Nation” on CBS.
Senator Coburn said: “And we need to make more I would like to stop it and send it in the direction where will still have the safety net and really have competitive pricing.”
Translated. Coburn wants to turn Obamacare into Romneycare with everyone forced to buy health insurance in a bigger marketpkace that would lower the big price increases a bit.
When Romneycare came to Massachusetts with a better marketplace than Obamacare, health insurance prices were still driven up big time.
I don’t care what you say about Coburn’s politics - this is one issue that he is dead-right on. He has been putting out this report for over 10 years.
I would be perfectly happy if Congress would go through the entire budget and toss out the obvious pork - money spent on promoting “Romance Novels” ??? Come on ...
Take the money recovered and apply it to the national debt ...
Why do Republicans like Tom Coburn want to make everyone buy health insurance just like Obama and Democrats do but with a wider selection of choices?
Because the health care industry told the politicians they needed the extra cash from the new subscribers to sustain the system.
From Romneycare which came first in one state to the nationwide Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) what we really have going is really the Health Care Industry Bailout Act supported by the Uniparty politicians with slight variations on how to achieve the goal.
But the higher health insurance costs will come out of our pockets of course....
And the list keeps getting longer. Complaining about something and doing something about it are two entirely different things. The fact that he has been doing this for over a decade and nothing has been done tells me he is capable of whining, but not capable of leading.
Replace him. We need leaders like Ted Cruz, not crybaby whiners like Coburn. We need people who can take the heat of taking a stand. Where was Coburn when Cruz was standing up for the American people? Where was Coburn when the GOP held the Senate and Bush pushed through a trillion dollars in new debt?
Yep. This is what it’s come to; Mitch (or whoeverinthe#**@hascontrolofmysenator) allows him to bitch and complain about the government wasting a billion here or a billion there like there’s something new about it... and the beat goes on.
He's retiring ...
He wants to do something about it - but there ain't 59 other Senators that'll go along with him.
So don't bitch about him "whining" - its about all he can do ...
