The tragic widow of New Jersey mall carjacking victim Dustin Friedland emotionally eulogized her slain hubby as “just the best person you ever met” at a funeral packed with hundreds of mourners on Wednesday.

Standing just feet from the closed casket, Jamie Schare Friedland said that despite her loss, “I’m truly the luckiest person I know, and I still believe that because I married the best man in the entire world.”

“I was lucky enough to be with him in the time we had,” said Jamie, 27.

“There was not a better person, a better soul, in the entire world. He was my entire world and my happiness was the most important thing to him, always.”

Some media said the "upscale mall" is side by side with a really bad neighborhood.

Not to speak ill of the dead but maybe there is something more to this. The man was a lawyer. Lawyers are not often like by some people. The car was abandoned not far from the mall. You kill someone for their car and then abandon it?

Figures. Always someone who forgets to leave their gun home though. Like the dirtbags who did this.

No idea.

But it could simply be that it was his time to go.

Or something.

The thing is, there are so very many .380’s these days that’ll fit in a pocket....

Anyway, it’s a tragic disaster for his wife, family, and friends.

I doubt it. This area according to media is near a really bad district and has frequent car jackings. They probably abandoned the car because they knew they were being hunted thru it. Also according to media, which notoriously gets things wrong to be sure, he was shot when he tried to resist.

Perps could have (probably were) high on something.

Yeah, all that considered it’s true what you say. Short Hills is some thirty minutes north of Newark, NJ, arm pit on the East Coast. I grew up in Kearny which is just across the Passaic River. Went to high school for two years in Newark in the early ‘70s. Far as I’m concerned the whole rotten city should be glassed over.
