I’ve been in BLM meetings where they seek public comment.
They pack the meetings with invitees from various enviro groups, and even “plainclothes” BLM employees who are just “sitting in”.
So while inviting and politely receiving public comment from any and all, they are able to achieve the consensus they want with remarkable uniformity.
My daughter learned quick. She went to a school board meeting. She came home and said....Mom..You could have talked for an hour and been right...But they had made up their minds before the meeting started.
Like the late Roman Empire, we're just supposed to assemble in front of the balcony to cheer and acclaim the latest decision of the Imperial Curia.
