“Duck Dynasty” star Phil Robertson has been fired from the reality program following his controversial remarks in GQ magazine regarding homosexuality.
A+E Networks, parent company of A&E, has released the following statement to Variety:
“We are extremely disappointed to have read Phil Robertson’s comments in GQ, which are based on his own personal beliefs and are not reflected in the series Duck Dynasty. His personal views in no way reflect those of A+E Networks, who have always been strong supporters and champions of the LGBT community.”
I donated two DD gift baskets. I was told they raised the most money of all the offered baskets. The kids in my school absolutely love the show.
We have our annual Blizzard bowl tomorrow, I'll be taking my Si Tupperware glass, and my DD throw blanket with me.

So just how reliable is “Variety” anyway? Out of curiosity I went to the site to read the article and there wasn’t one word about Phil being fired.........sheesh!
Be careful. They’ll just think you’re flirting.
I have never seen the show, having cancelled cable. I heard an interview where one of the fellows was saying that A&E would add ‘bleeps’ so that it sounded like they were blocking curse words which were never actually spoken.
I could see other members of the family speaking out, so that their contract would get cancelled. I could then see a network like Trinity pick up a show featuring the Robertsons! The irony would be excellent!
I have no cable or satellite, I grew tired of every sitcom, TV drama etc featuring gay people, or other crap. They’re not getting my cash.
I believe “throwing out the baby with the bath water” applies.

Phil answers to the ultimate HIGHER POWER . forget A & E. . With his stand for his belief in Christ Jesus and his testimonies and good will, Phil will have some crowns to lay down at the foot of Jesus. That really is what life is all about. . . witnessing to others so that they will have eternal life in heaven.
May he and his family continue to stand up for their beliefs! Our country is going down fast . . . God will not be mocked!

Phil wanted to leave. He probably made a deal with A&E to let him leave and they both came up with this. OR A&E wouldn’t allow Phil out of the contract so he did this on purpose.
If you took the time to waste your time in going to the Variety site, you would read that there is no mention of Phil being fired..........just the bogus headline that generated traffic to the site.
Inviting them to do what they like best is not much of a rebuke, seems to me!
