Five people died of gunshot wounds in the last 18 hours from South and Southwest Side shootings, according to authorities.
Three men were shot to death in a three hour window early Thursday morning – two in the South Shore neighborhood and one in the Gage Park neighborhood on the South West Side.
Among the dead: a 74-year-old man found shot to death in a car about 4:45 a.m. Thursday. Police found him inside a car with multiple gunshot wounds to his body and he died at the scene, in the 7000 block of South East End Avenue.
Another person was found dead in a car with a gunshot wound about three blocks north, in the 6700 block of South East End Avenue, not long after the74-year-old was killed. The man was 41 but additional details weren’t immediately available.

It ia not the level of gun control or the availability of guns that drive crime statistics. It is the available number of criminals present in a given locale, and Chicago has a bumper crop of such criminals.

What’s behind the phenomenal increase in shootings in Chicago is a turf war between Mexican drug cartels and local gangs. The Mexicans have decided that since the USA isn’t going to bother defending its borders they might as well cut out the middlemen.
Of course the mainstream media will never mention this, not even to tout all the taxes the drug cartel members will surely pay once Amnesty is enacted.
That is because they know that the LEGAL, LAW-ABIDING, properly licensed, careful gun owning citizen in not at all likely to blow a hole in the head of the gun-grabber if the subject comes up.
The Chicago “youth”...well, you take your chances.
This illustrates the “courage” of the gun grabbers.
Seems to me "gun-control" aided and abetted the crimes. If I were among the victims' families, I'd be looking at a lawsuit against every legislator who voted for the gun control laws that disarmed my lost loved-one and made him an attractive victim. Call them accessories to the crimes.
Maybe when some of these idiots are held accountable for the obvious and predictable failures and consequences of their foolish and negligent policies... They know - they know that "gun control" is only going to disarm the law abiding. They know that violent crime rates including the murder rate increase after "gun control" is enacted. Therefore they know their policies and laws are going to cost more lives - yet they pass them anyway. That to me is willful participation in the crimes. Hold the accountable as accessories to murder, dozens of counts.

It would be pretty easy to figure out what to do -
find the common factor in all these shootings
(and it’s not the gun, because guns are already illegal in Chicago)
and ban that “factor” from our society.
Only 132 of Chicago’s 507 murders were solved last year.

Illinois has one of the largest corp tax structures in the country.
I think they are currently in Texas—which has no income taxes.
IF I were a stockholder of ADM, I would be screaming at their meetings about the lack of financial responsibility with such a move. It is nuts to move out of a state where there are NO income taxes to a state which is among the highest taxed.
I sincerely doubt a single citizen was killed by guns. More logical explanation is they were killed with guns.

Maybe they are giving up growing corn and soybeans and are now growing pot and heroin instead? Sh!tcago is the US headquarters of the Mexican drug cartels, so it would stand to reason?
