I am glad that I missed that one and incensed that they would be so vulgar.
At it’s heart this isn’t about homosexuality or even religion-it’s about ones PERSONAL opinions having to conform to those of a MINORIT, and a minority directing a society.
How does a man thinking another is a sinner affect the sinner? It doesn’t-but the intolerance of the minority for another opinion merits immediate punishment?
Imagine if EVERY company one worked for, or traded with, could impose a set of beliefs on you or deny you employment? Imagine not being able to say- in your private, personal life- that you didn’t like your employers favorite clothing, food, color, music etc. That’s where this leads. This will paralyze everyone’s life eventually.
One can choose not to shop in gay owned stores, for example, but a company open to the public cannot insist that every customer supports gay sex at home-only that they not be disrespectful in their establishment.Would it be okay if the shop owners-hearing from other customers that an individual was overheard at a party being against gay marriage-refuse that person entrance? Are we going to get down to informants and self-censoring in fear of speaking openly about anything others might not like?
Will we end up with requiring everyone we deal with to agree with us completely on everything we like or else? That will end all social discourse.
Do we all have the right to PUNISH those who disagree with us on anything? Does it go both ways? And since A&E is dependent on the public viewership to exist, is their disagreeing with the majority of that public suicidal? It isn’t about A&E protecting their business-its about demanding everyone associated with them HAVING to spout the party line even in personal, private lives. That’s work controlling your life-do any of us want that?

I’m not a on fire christian, but if I have a choice to follow the crowd or believe in God.....well thats a very easy choice.

The concepts of shame or guilt are being erased in this society, except such manufactured ones as “white guilt”. The left didn’t want tolerance of sin, they just wanted to change what the “sins” were, as it was cramping their perverted style.
Don’t buy merchandise that is labeled “Duck Dynasty”, that is A&E’s goods. Buy only stuff labeled “Duck Commander”, that is owned by the Roberson’s. All that stuff in Wal-Mart should be off your Christmas list. Pass this on to everyone you know. Buying Duck Dynasty merchandise supports only A&E.

And, that, fellow Freepers, is why the First Amendment must be expanded to protect free speech in private employer-employee relationships. Maybe a SCOTUS more enlightened and open-minded than the present one (and that’s not hard to imagine) will remedy this error in a future decision.
