Sadly, I will not be able to purchase anything from those wearing the Cub-Scout, Webolos(sp?), or Boy-Scout uniforms.
My donating days are through where the Boy Scouts are concerned.

The West Central Florida Council, with a staff of 12 full-time employees What on earth would a single full time staffer do, much less 12 of them? Someone to run background checks, I guess, if the parent's advisory council doesn't do it themselves for new adult scoutleaders, but, what else is there?
But wait! The whole reason for permitting homosexual scouts was to end the blockade of corporate donations, wasn't it?
No, the whole point is to pay for all the professional scouts which is killing the organization.

Just think what’ll happen when companys like Lockheed cut funding even further. I think they’re tied to the dollar now, and need to follow the money no matter where it leads. Gay scout masters are waiting in the wings ...

I cannot support the BSA in any way. Or, the GSA either.

"So far, the biggest fallout is the financial loss. We need about $75,000 to balance our budget this year." Sounds like the homo book and sex-toy stores haven't yet picked up the slack.

And this is only about 6 months after the decision was made...time will tell...but I don’t see it getting any better because liberal types are notoriously tight with their purses unless there is something for them to gain.

"When you look at straight contributions through our Friends of Scouting Campaign, we are behind 15 percent," said George McGovern, executive director of the Gulf Ridge Council. "That's about $150,000." This stuff writes itself...The irony is too rich, not to point it out.

What about gay contributions? Guess who's designing the new uniforms?

My son and I both left because of the BSA decision. They have lost a solid scout in my son who was just shy of his Life Scout and with my they lost a 8 year scout leader and ASM.
Until the policy changes, we wont be participating or supporting.

I have The BSA as a client and they quit using my services exactly a year ago. “Due to the current turmoil” was the excuse...I supply services that help them raise money from donors. I think they are hurting... plus my 13 year old just quit. It was his decision and he has been a Scout since he was 6 years old. Thankfully his decision to quit involves a girl.
