A man lured two brothers, ages 5 and 8, from their yard in south Mississippi and took them to his camper trailer, where he sexually abused them and slashed the older boy’s throat, authorities said Thursday.
The 8-year-old boy is hospitalized and is expected to survive the Wednesday attack, said Don Bass, chief deputy with Hancock County sheriff’s office on the Mississippi coast.
Bass said the older brother, with his throat cut, escaped the suspect’s trailer Wednesday evening and ran about 500 yards to a neighbor’s house. The neighbor called police.
The children were abducted Wednesday afternoon from a residence in Pearl River County and taken to the trailer in rural Hancock County where he sexually abused both boys, Hancock County Sheriff Ricky Adam said in a news release.

Make him into a pinata and give anyone who has suffered child sexual abuse a nice new bat. The candy might be a bit gory, but hit it enough and it will come out. Was done to a gay molester in Washington State in the 60’s, according to my dad.

Wouldn’t it just be easier if after cornering him in the forest, he tried to resist arrest, charged an officer with a stick or a rock, and was shot to death?

Oh, it still happened. But today’s instant communications makes it seem like it’s happening more. Back in the day, this kind of stuff was reported locally and that’s all. Now it’s reported and sent all over the world...................

That’s the way things were in my neighborhood. Plus, kids looked out for each other and the younger ones. While we would be ruthless with each other, it was different between us kids and adults. It was understood that it was “us” and “them.” We knew who the “creepy” adults were (and they were there) and us kids stayed away from them. We knew at a young age who was creepy because our older brothers and friends told us, and so we later told our younger brothers and their friends.
