SEATTLE (AP) — Students at a Seattle-area Catholic school are gaining national attention for their protest over the forced departure of a gay vice principal.
An online petition started by the senior class president of Eastside Catholic was the third fastest growing U.S. petition on change.org Friday, attracting around 15,000 signatures in one day.
The petition was launched after Vice Principal Mark Zmuda resigned under pressure from school administrators after they learned he had married his same-sex partner.
Bradley Strode said the students want to effect change within the wider Catholic Church, with an ultimate goal of altering the Catholic Church's stance on gay marriage.

I would imagine it could develop like any other unnatural sexual fetish would. But the difference is I don’t think anyone would try to claim a foot fetish or leather fetish was genetic.

Homosexuality is different. What causes one sex to prefer the same sex in a partner? Is it genetic or environmental?

Re: genetic/environmental — this makes for interesting reading re a high percentage of homosexuals being subjected to sexual abuse as a youngster. Also there is suppression of scientific studies which conclude that it is NOT genetically linked, because if it was the rate of siblings also being homosexual would be much higher, particularly in twins.

There are many many more righteous and just than there are homo’s. It’s evident with the whole Phil Robertson backlash A&E and GLAAD are getting. We may be on the path to Sodom and Gomorrah but we’re far from it. Everyone would have to be engaging in the behavior, or at least supporting it.

When I was in graduate school I read the university newspaper every week. I would say between 1/4 to 1/3 of the paper was devoted to gay stories of some kind.
I still remember one very attractive female MBA student reading the paper for a few minutes, getting up and throwing away her copy and saying “I am so sick and tired of reading about gays.”

Send the protesting “students” back to the pubic schools (intentional misspelling).
There are a lot of anus worshipers among the staff and students there, so, presumably, they will be much happier there.
Look, it doesn’t matter whether it’s genetic or not.
There is a lot of evidence that alcoholism is genetic. That doesn’t excuse alcoholic behavior.
By extension, the Bible says that the sin nature, in all its expressions, is genetic, having been inherited from the first parents. The first child born on the Earth, Cain, was a murderer, having murdered his ow brother.
That does not excuse sinful behavior.
