Obama mistakenly said Snowden has been indicted
Washington Post ^ | 12/20/13 | Sari Horwitz

President Obama said at a press conference Friday that National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden “is under indictment.”

But a senior law enforcement official said that Obama simply misspoke.

Caitlin Hayden, the National Security Council spokeswoman at the White House, confirmed that "the president was referring to the unsealed criminal complaint filed in the Eastern District of Virginia," not an indictment.

Probably thinking of his own future indictment. That should be on his mind a lot.

Or perhaps he is under indictment and it hasn’t been unsealed yet. And dear leader let the cat out of the bag.

Snowden works for Obama.

They pretend, but Snwden is and will be scot-free.

Mission accomplished. China, Russia and al Qaeda have the info on how our ops work making it easier for them to avoid detection.

Snowden wants to come home, and Obama is "mis-speaking" about indictments?

Ed, we can send you pictures. You can google pictures of America. You can Facebook your family and friends.

But, you are goner if you set foot back in this country.

A “complaint” is not an “indictment”.

At least, not yet. But with the blurring of thought surrounding law “enforcement” in this territory once known as “the United States of America”, it may be much closer than anyone now thinks.

Ending up on an “enemies list” might be all the indictment needed.

"A “complaint” is not an “indictment”."

Pure prosecutorial discretion.

Exactly. Isn’t it the secret court that would have indicted him?

"Probably thinking of his own future indictment. That should be on his mind a lot."

Not to mention the Traitorobama's trial, conviction, and sentence.

Obama has mistakenly said a lot of things. It is a lifelong pattern with him.

That’s the thing. If the government issues secret indictments, by secret courts, which it does, and permits government officials to lie about it, they cannot expect anyone to believe them when they say they haven’t.

Add that to the fact that US Marshals are authorized to arrest Snowden if he so much steps onto anything that is US property, US flagged, including embassies and nations the US has an extradition treaty with. And that they can even kidnap him if they are able to from other nations, and it doesn’t matter if Obama grants him a full pardon.

They will still arrest him, and probably do what the Russians used to do to traitorous spies, put them on a gurney and feed them feet first into a blast furnace.

Let's take obama at his word (his word is good, isn't it? Isn't it????).

An indictment occurs when a grand jury views the state's evidence and determines that there is sufficient evidence for the state to have cause to proceed with a case.

Lack of an indictment means that the grand jury found insufficient evidence to back up the state's charges, or that the state itself thought the evidence was so weak that they didn't even bother convene a grand jury to evaluate it.

(Of course, the fact that the local police didn't have enough evidence to bring charges against George Zimmerman didn't stop the state attorney general from forcing the issue)...

“misspoke”
“mistakenly”

But when a Republican does the same thing, it’s a “lie.”

“Mispoke” applies to saying that you are leaving on Friday, when you are actually leaving on Thursday. “Mispoke” does not apply when you say you are leaving on Friday and you’ve never had any plans to leave at all.

Obama doesn’t mispeak, he lies like a cheap prayer rug.
