GRANDVILLE, MI -- Republican National Committeeman Dave Agema supports the Duck Dynasty family whose hit television show may be over now that one of the stars has been suspended for comments the A&E cable network deemed offensive to gays.
In a Friday, Dec. 20, Facebook post visible to his social media friends, which include an MLive Media Group employee, Agema lauded this statement released by Phil Robertsons family.
Good for them, Agema wrote. The LGBT Gestapo speech police will not succeed when families like them are Biblically solid. You are in our prayers. May A&E fall into the pit they dug for you. STAND!

Heard Karl Tokyo Rove snidely putting Phil down on Gretta. He needs to go. Him and his lackeys.
May A&E fall back into the pit they crawled out of.
The RNC should stay out of it. They will only ruin everything.
It seems likely that the A&E channel has decided to put pro-homosexual ideology above profits, wrecking one of their most popular shows. That's their call; private businesses can do what they want.
But it's time for us to make clear that choices have consequences, and for conservatives to stand by those who make right choices and against those who have deliberately made wrong choices.
GLAAD was quite clear in threatening A&E if they didn't act. Again, that's their right in America under the First Amendment.
But Free Republic also has a history of effectively showing conservative muscle against the entertainment industry. Anybody remember what happened to the Dixie Chicks? ;-)
How many hours until he is former RNC committeeman?
Also the RNC decided this month not to rebuke Agema for previous “anti-gay” remarks. Good for them.
The point is that homosexuals are mad at the comments he made on his Facebook page because he is a Republican National Committeeman. They aren't willing to let anyone have free speech rights except themselves, apparently.
While this isn't an RNC issue (yet), it's good to know there are RNC members taking the right side, and give them appropriate levels of support.
The RNC will likely be silent, this was just one member on his own. Will he be kicked out now?
I guarantee you, there's going to be some flunky GOP spokesperson who's going to apologize and make some stupid comment that homos are welcome in the Big Tent GOP, and the liberals are going to jump all over it and use it to try and divide conservatives.
Typical Republicans, riding someone else's coattails for a job they should be doing all along.
Its been almost a year since the first time he drew fire for speaking out on the gay issue.
The GOPe has been apologizing and attacking Agema almost since the day he took the RNC seat.
Has the dear president put his useless 2 cents worth in on this subject, yet? I hope he realizes that he needs to keep his nose out of this one, he has divided this nation enough already.
I just wish conservatives would realize the importance of taking control of the RNC. Its where party policy is made and we tend to ignore it.
LGBT = Little Gonads Big Tits
I don’t understand why they still interview Karl Rove on TV. He stutters, spits, and stammers. Speaks in fragmented sentences. Tiresome already!
Shouldn’t the Bummer be saying if he had a son he would look like the gay Pajama boy, only black?
Obama oddly enough has said I think yesterday he loves duck dynasty
I think fearless leader has his finger in the political wind on this one
Was just going to say...the RINOS won’t like this. And now you got Rove Reich bloviating already. Sick puppy, that one.
Time for the RNC to push back, and to represent the people that elected them..
The Dems have no fear of these nasty issues, that’s why they run everything today. Cramming crap down our throat and in our face has had a free pass for 40 years.
It is past time for smash mouth on defending these moral and ethical and religious traditions being shoved over the cliff.
We live in an upside down world
Woe to those who call evil good
and good evil,
who put darkness for light
and light for darkness,
who put bitter for sweet
and sweet for bitter!
If anyone really believes that BO really actually said he likes DD doesn’t understand BO. I’d be willing to bet that he has NEVER seen the show and has no idea who they are. He said that because it makes him seem like a regular joe. Jarrett told him to say it. I don’t believe one word that comes out of his mouth about anything.
Plenty of RINOs here in Michigan whining about this including the Governor but Agema isn’t backing down. He’s even told republican pols to stop running their mouths based on liberal rumors about what he said.
He’s been a pretty good state senator as well. He had the left all stirred up a few years ago for pushing for constitutional literacy requirements before graduating from high school.
He and Terri Land were elected to the RNC at the same time. Terri is now running and leading the race for the senate seat Karl Levin will vacate next year. She’s pretty solid as well.
I knew Terri Land way back when she was a relatively low-level staffer and I was a regular volunteer for the Kent County Republican Party, where my father had been executive director before turning down a job in the Ford White House and instead moving to Lansing to work for the state-level party.
I was not an evangelical when I worked alongside Terri Land, and therefore wasn't looking for the same things I would look for today in a political leader. Also, I've radically changed since the 1980s (conversion does those things) and I would never want people to evaluate me based on long-ago statements and actions that don't reflect what I believe today.
What I will say about Terri Land is that I saw her as a hard worker. I saw her as a loyal and committed Republican. (That's a compliment, not a negative, and said in a pre-Tea Party context when this massive “anti-GOP-elite” mindset wasn't anywhere near as powerful as it is today — lots of people I knew back then were much more interested in their business than in supporting the Republican Party, but Terri Land believed in using the Republican Party to make a difference.)
But perhaps of most interest to Freepers is something I saw of her years ago when we were both delegates to the state Republican convention and the group we would now call “GOP-e” was trying to get rid of a certain incumbent perceived as “too radical.” I think it was an attempt to dump an incumbent member of the University of Michigan board, but I am not absolutely sure. At the state convention, Terri Land voted against the effort. I asked her why later, and her response was that she didn't think anyone had made a good case that he was so bad that he needed to be removed. What stuck with me was her comment that if the party leadership could do it to him, they could do it to anyone, and she didn't think that was right.
That probably speaks well of her to Freeper and Tea Party circles — i.e., she's willing to stand up and say “no” to party leaders, even though she definitely is one herself, if she thinks the party leadership is acting in heavyhanded ways and not documenting good reasons for its actions.
Hope those comments about Terri Land are helpful. But keep in mind the last time I saw her face-to-face was back in the late 1990s when I visited Grand Rapids to get some documents I needed (she was at the time the county clerk). She recognized me on my way in, and personally took me to the right place to get what I needed. The biggest thing that does is show that she has a good memory for someone she hadn't seen in years. I was at that point working in a Christian nonprofit organization and had largely left politics.
People do change, but their core values usually don't, and I have no reason to believe what I saw of Terri at that long-ago state convention was different from what she'd do today if she saw party leaders harassing an outspoken conservative.
Like Dave Agema, Terri Land was elected to the RNC by a coalition of tea partiers, libertarians, and GOP conservatives working together to get the old guard out.
From what I know of her she appears to be a lot like our current Secretary of state in the fact that she pulls a fair bit of old school democrat support for the right reasons.
Thanks for the ping; post. BUMP for Dave Agema!
Hard to believe that MI has even one conservative, but they do.
Michigan has a lot of conservatives. Problem is the fraud that takes place in the big D areas.
Fortunately we have a solid conservative SOS who is coming down hard on election fraud. Ruth Johnson doesn’t even let democrats commit fraud against other democrats which is winning her friends among the more moderate democrats. Its why Detroit elected their first white mayor in nearly 50 years and they did try to keep him out.

THE RNC STANDS FOR .......REALLY NOT CONSERVATIVE...... LONG LIVE THE TEA PARTY!
The RNC is lower and worse than the gaystapo. I expect to fight the gaystapo. I don’t expect the GOP to be a big coward AND stab me in the back.
The GOP does only one thing these days, stay quiet in the hope that the dems will lose because the speak out and might misspeak. Well in a democracy, people need to know where and why you stand ....and if you remain silent, they don’t vote for you because they don’t know wtf you stand for and why......and they also see that the reason for the silence is because their are no guts.
