Turkey 'has Replaced Iran as Hamas's Sponsor'

Israel’s intelligence community has determined that Turkey has replaced Iran as the leading financial backer of Hamas since 2012, reports the World Tribune, citing unspecified “israeli sources.”

The sources said the government of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Erdogan has overseen the transfer of up to $250 million a year to Hamas, and particularly to its governing apparatus in Gaza.

“The money is channeled mostly through private sources, but with full coordination with Erdogan and his aides,” a source said.

Turkey has coordinated the cash transfers with Qatar, which has been hosting the Hamas leadership since its expulsion from Syria in late 2011, according to the report.

Turkey is the only NATO member to recognize Hamas. According to the Tribune's sources, Ankara has hosted a Hamas presence, led by Salah Al Arouri, that facilitates operations and cash transfers, mostly to Judea and Samaria.

This is actually good news. First, because Turkey has less money than Iran. Second, because it's part of NATO so can be made to choose between its MB friends and its You're-a-peon friends. Finally, because the drought in Israel is over, so we no longer need bulk purchases of Turkish water to sustain agricultural and consumer demand.

Keep in mind that Hamas and Iran had a “falling out” with each other a few years ago, and that led Hamas to scramble for funds, when Iran cut them off.

The falling out had to do with Hamas not backing Assad as much as Iran was demanding - and instead of staying in Syria (like Iran was ordering) - Hamas packed up “lock, stock and barrel” and got completely out of Syria, instead of risking their organization for Assad.

Yes, how sweet it is. No sugar daddy for Hamas, only a saccharin daddy:-) Some Arab Springs have actually sproinged some good, though not nearly enough to make up for all the evil they loosed.

Its Islam. Hamas will always be suportyed. Hell. Muslims in the USA likely fund Hamas through bullion transfers, and Mac Daddy in the white hut does nothing.

Yep, Turkey had to switch its full allegiance to those against Israel for the prophesy of Ezekiel 38-39 to be fulfilled. I’ll bet Faraq has something to say about that this weekend.
