Michael Eric Dyson tells Joy Reid the Bible could be viewed as homoerotic.
...The Ed Show was guest hosted by MSNBC contributor Joy Reid, who kicked off the show discussing Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson's comments about homosexuals...Reid welcomed Georgetown professor Michael Eric Dyson, whom she praised for his knowledge on American history and Biblical theology.
Reid started the segment saying that the Bible can be manipulated to support any argument. She admitted that the Bible views the act of homosexual activity as a "sin" but also said, in her opinion, that the Bible is also anti-Christmas trees. Reid used Jeremiah 10:10 for her "The Bible is against Christmas trees" argument...
Dyson then continued, " Look through the Bible, there's a lot of interesting things. The same men who sat up in a church of all men 'I put my God, Jesus over all women, I love Him more than I love her!' Hmmm... do you really? That sounds interestingly homoerotic to people who are outside your religious tradition! I'm not suggesting it is but I'm suggesting there are some very interesting narrative tensions within the Bible itself and within Christianity beyond that."

Also, in reference to what someone else said about homosexuality being another sin - just like all the sins listed in the Bible ... I’ll have to point out that it’s QUITE UNIQUE in comparison to other sins. I said the following in another posting elsewhere ... AND ... this shows how God’s wrath plays into it.
The unique thing about what God said in Romans 1 — is that this particular sin is actually a “judgement” from God in that He has them debasing themselves in such a way. THIS (what the LGBTs promote) is actually God’s judgement upon them in that they are to do these things to themselves. They, therefore, receive god’s judgement in the “here and now” for clearly rejecting what god has made clear to the,.
SO ... while these are all sins - fornication, adultery, thieving, drunkenness, slandering, swindling - and will not be allowed into Heaven ... none of these are, in and of themselves - a condition which God imposes upon people for their rejection of what God has made clear to them,

God clearly and unequivocally condemns homosexuality in:
- the first laws he gave to mankind (what we call the law of the patriarchs) as evidenced by his judgment on Sodom and Gomorrah.
- the law of Moses, a special law for his set apart people to show the way to the Christ.
- the law of Christ, the law all mankind is now subject to.
At no point in time has God ever endorsed, condoned or even permitted homosexuality.
