PRETORIA, South Africa (NNPA) President Obama and former presidents Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush flew to South Africa to pay their respects to Nelson Mandela, the countrys first democratically elected president who died on Dec. 5 at the age of 95.
At the height of South Africas campaign against the warrior for majority rule in South Africa, the U.S. governments behavior was far from respectful as it supported a regime that oppressed more than 90 percent of its people.
Under South Africas rigid racial segregation system known as apartheid, Whites were only 5 to 10 percent of the population but allocated 87 percent of the land to themselves, forcing other racial groups Black, Coloured, and Indian to live in segregated homelands away from Whites in the central cities. Officials denied people of color citizenship while maintaining an all-White government, prohibited Blacks from traveling outside their overpopulated segregated homelands without a passbook and operated segregated, unequal education systems that tracked Whites for professional jobs and Blacks for menial employment.
In 1947, South Africa passed the Prohibition of Mixed Marriages Act that prohibited marriage between persons of different races. A year later, it passed the Immorality Act, which made sexual relations with a person of a different race a criminal offense. When there were Black uprisings to protest minority-rule, anti-apartheid leaders were either arrested or murdered.
Yet, the U.S., which prides itself as the worlds foremost democracy, continued to support the violent apartheid regime.

And when it does, you'll be hearing nary a peep about it from the presstitutes at the various Reich Ministry of Øbamaganda outlets.
name me one country in Africa that has benefited more from black rule than white rule in the last 100 years .
Because what they got with majority rule has been so much more beneficial for everyone involved!
I believe there will be so much S that the media will be unable to ignore it.
They may try to spin it though.
That rule applies for all Muzzie nations as well.
I’m not convinced apartheid was the way to go. I do know that what looks black and white to foreign nationals generally isn’t reality on the ground.
I see the whole thing something like this.
If the Palestinians were able to kick all Jews out of Israel, would there be peace? I’d give it about 24 months before the Palestinians would find someone else to be mad at, and it would start all over.
That’s what will take place in South Africa ultimately. When Whites have been kicked out, I pitty the African nationals that remain. There will be carnage of Biblical proportions IMO.
Honestly, I’m not sure how an industrialized society can enter a nation like South Africa, tap it’s resources and manage it so that the locals are compensated properly, and the economic success floats all boats.
I think it’s a lot easier said than done.
It seems like when it’s tried a few strong-men (more often than not ONE), becomes too big for his britches and the rest of the nationals are abused.
Those who oppose the West now, would have at some point have criticized the education of African nationals along the Western cultural lines. It would have been ugly no matter how it was tried.
As South Africa continues to melt down, those who hated the White governance in Africa may come to miss that governance.
What lies ahead is not bliss my friends.
I think that you are correct in your overall assessment of the way the situation will change in Sough Africa. Old tribal hatreds that had been kept under control will likely boil over and we shall see the gory, chocking consequences thereof.
shocking, not “chocking.”
You know, it reminds me of America. The media loves to foist this idealistic pristine pseudo-perfection off on us as if the Garden of Eden existed here before modern man arrived from Europe.
Some things from this existence were probably pretty good. Other parts of it were barbaric. Waring factions, tribal competition, these things weren’t out of some rules of Hoyle etiquette, to bastardize a rules of cards reference.
Same thing takes place in Africa even today. The Western influence where absent, reveals the ugly underbelly of African reality.
Massive slaughter with no holds barred. How many times have we seen it, and how many times must we see it?
That being said, the modern man that arrived from Europe was in some ways barbaric too. The senseless slaughter of the wild buffalo in the U. S. is a case in point.
Apartheid was on its’ last legs regardless of what course we took, it just turned out Constructive Engagement was the best hope that Post-Apartheid South Africa wasn’t going to devolve into chaos, at least for awhile.
The US did not support apartheid, it also did not support terrorism.
Just Google "ruins of Johannesburg" and it's quite pitiful.
The blacks living under Apartheid were far better off than those in Nearby Angola being murdered by Soviet Hind Gunships flown by white pilots, tortured to death in Angolan prisons by white East German Stasi, or slaughtered in their villages by Cuban Mercenary troops of the Soviet Empire. Similar Soviet Wars of Colonial Conquest were also happening in Mozambique, Ethiopia, Eritrea, and Rhodesia. This perspective is glaringly absent in this propaganda piece.
It was the Regan Doctrine of supporting anti Communist guerrilla fighters in those countries in Africa,Central America, and Afghanistan that caused the collapse of the Soviet Empire that ultimately freed Nelson Mandela from prison.
After the ANC lost their Soviet benefactor which aided them to the tune of $200 million a year, the communist Mandela was not seen as the threat he was earlier, so the SA authorities released him. And Mandela realized that he could not turn SA into a communist police state overnight without Soviet backing moderated his stand on the future of SA.
The hero in this true history is not Nelson Mandela but Ronald Reagan.
Communists rely on large disgruntled populations that can be manipulated to their designs through the arousal of their basest passions. Of course, a bit more equal representation goes a long way in stopping communists.
Also the efforts of Chief Buthelezi, who is a devoted Christian, held Mandela's feet to the fire.
And what were the murder/rape/AIDS rates then as compared to now?
Thanks for the mention. It sure isn’t sold that way is it...
