Illegal immigration reform must happen. YOU DIE HARD WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND THAT WE CANNOT SEND AROUND 20 MILLION ILLEGALS BACK ACROSS THE BORDER AND KEEP THEM THERE. Wake up! If the communists Democrats beat us on this one you can wave 2014 goodby.

The proponents of amnesty are wont to create the false choice between a blanket amnesty and mass deportation of 12 to 20 million illegal aliens. In reality, we have other choices and alternatives that don’t reward people who have broken our laws with the right to stay and work here and an eventual path to citizenship. The 12 to 20 million illegal aliens did not enter this country overnight and they will not leave overnight. Attrition through enforcement works. We have empirical data from Georgia, Oklahoma, Alabama, and Arizona proving that it does.

And legal immigration is far more injurious to this country than illegal immigration. We need to drastically reduce the numbers of legal immigrants.

Miss Romney yet? Remember the lesser of the two evils? When will common sense happen.

Romney supported "self-deportation" and no amnesty. Self deportation is just another name for attrition thru enforcement.

So how about some ideas.

Advocate a pro-immigrant policy of low immigration. Conservatives need to provide the American people with their own comprehensive immigration reform plan, i.e., give people a reason to vote FOR something rather than just attack the other side’s proposals. Such a plan should contain the following elements:

 Formulate a merit based immigration system that brings in the skills and talents to keep us competitive in the global economy;

 Reduce immigration levels based on need more closely approximating 300,000 a year;

 Eliminate extended chain migration, i.e., family reunification, limiting it to the nuclear family,

 Secure the border;

 Enforce existing immigration laws to reduce the current illegal alien population and limit future illegal immigration, i.e., attrition thru enforcement. Enforcement would include: (1) ending the job magnet; (2) increasing coordination at the federal level by eliminating barriers to information sharing among agencies; (3) leveraging state and local enforcement resources; (4) fully implementing the US-VISIT Program to track and deport visa overstays; and (5) make mandatory and improve such programs as E-Verify and 287 [g] authority to assist employers and law enforcement in identifying illegal aliens;

 Eliminate birthright citizenship and the visa lottery program;

 Ensure that anyone who enters this nation illegally is not rewarded by being permitted to stay and work here; i.e., no amnesty;

 Streamline the processing and adjudication of immigration cases;

 Promote pro-immigrant measures that help newcomers assimilate and embrace the values and principles of our Founders and the Constitution.

What’s your suggestion? We give them citizenship so 50 million more show up in the next wave?

Bribery, plain and simple. If an American citizen were to attempt this they would be prosecuted under RICO.

You are on to something. I have heard rumors that we should fear the lame duck session of Congress. It is where an amnesty could be passed.

Quit propagandizing. Could round them up, but mandatory e-verify rigorously enforced with big employer fines woul
d work. Then a regulated and needed work force could be admitted.

I tripped across some article on FR last night explaining how Karl Rove went from conservative wunderchild to hated enemy.

I didn’t have time to read it, but I hope it mentioned something to do with his views on immigration as a starter.

Cant you understand that 20 million illegals will make the Democrats a majority party for a generation? If we enforce the immigration laws most of them will have to go back. If this does not create a permanent Dem majority then the Dem's will just do it again. And if you can't stop them this time how on earth are you going to stop themthe next time, fool!Got that!

I support that immigration reform in 2014 - it is a must - and this what I support:

#1 is seal both north and south borders.

#2 remove all Obama restrictions on the Border Patrol and allow them to do their jobs.

#3. All Immigration judges are to order immediate deportation of all illegal aliens charged with crimes - all crimes.

#4. Pass legislation forbidding illegal aliens from accessing any and all welfare benefits derived from federal funds. (ditto - education)

#5. strictly enforce the law prohibiting employers from hiring illegal aliens.

#6. Pass stringent laws denying citizenship to children born of two non-citizens (legal or illegal) The Constitution does so state this but has been misinterpreted over the years per some (many?)constitutional scholars.

With the above in place self-deportation will take place. This is real immigration reform

Illegal immigration reform must happen.

No immigration reform is needed because all that was done in 1986. And those politicans promised that the 1986 amnesty would clean up the probem, the borders would be enforced in the future, and the same problem would not recur.

And some of those same honorable politicans from 1986 are still around (Chuck Schmer comes to mind), so I know that no new amnesty could possibly be needed.

RICO NAILS IT---CASE IN POINT A Stockton, Calif illegal who used a fake Social Security number probably committed multiple crimes and felonies, including stealing SS nos, falsifying official documents, forgery, conspiracy, obtaining money under false pretenses, etc etc etc. The illegal is defiant---says this should not be held against him when he applied to obtain a correctional officer job for the State of California.

Chances are political types, elected/appointed officials (sucking up to latinos for votes), are using govt resources to paper over these crimes.

Now if Holder, Obama, Grijalva, Guttierez, Schumer, organized political parties----or any govt-centric elected or appointed official----- using official offices to assist in the perversion of justice----is subject to RICO laws.

According to RICO laws, the co-conspirators should lose everything. Using govt authority, elected office, apppontive office, and a Congressionasl or state district for the puposes of building a criminal empire is classified as "racketeering."

18 U.S.C. § 1961 as currently amended, is all-encompassing and includes: Any violation of state statutes against gambling, murder, kidnapping, extortion, arson, robbery, bribery, dealing in obscene matter, or dealing in a controlled substance or listed chemical (as defined in the Controlled Substances Act);

Any act of bribery, counterfeiting, theft, embezzlement, fraud, dealing in obscene matter, obstruction of justice, slavery, racketeering, gambling, money laundering, commission of murder-for-hire, and several other offenses covered under the Federal criminal code (Title 18);

Embezzlement of union funds; Bankruptcy fraud or securities fraud; Drug trafficking; long-term and elaborate drug networks can also be prosecuted using the Continuing Criminal Enterprise Statute; Criminal copyright infringement; Money laundering and related offenses; Acts of Terrorism;

Bringing in, aiding or assisting aliens in illegally entering the country (if the action was for financial gain)..............all are prosecutable under RICO laws.

ANYONE can file a RICO action. Find numerous how-to's on the web.

“You are on to something. I have heard rumors that we should fear the lame duck session of Congress. It is where an amnesty could be passed.”
**************************************************************
It could happen even before the lame duck session. There has been some discussion that the GOPe RINO leadership in the House (e.g., Eric Cantor, Kevin McCarthy) want to bring it up AFTER the time period for registering for the 2014 Primary election has passed. That delay would be so that sitting Republicans could be encouraged to vote for Amnesty without having to worry about having a challenger in the primary. Of course many Republicans who would be so corrupt as to vote for Amnesty would lose in their primary to a Tea Party challenger.

I trust the current national GOPe leadership NOT A BIT!! They despise we true conservatives who actually are the Republican base.
