Fearless NBC News boss Deborah Turness is turning her attention to her troubled Sunday talk show, Meet the Press asking staff to write a mission statement and explain what works and what doesnt, The Post has learned.
Turness has been reviewing individual shows one by one with the aim of having staff focus more clearly on winning the ratings wars, sources said.
The review has sparked talk of what the future holds for the 66-year-old show and its host, David Gregory.

Deborah need only ask me. If she has an IQ above 35 she doesn't even have to do that.
Truth is fascinating.
Propaganda is boring.

If they grill the Obama administration and pull out all the stops to expose the corruption and the anti-American attitude, they will win the ratings race.
Or, they could talk about green energy, roads and bridges, and schools.

I used to actually watch the show back when Russert was hosting it. He pretty much took that show, and what was left of any real ‘journalism’ to the grave with him.

They know what to do. It is what they cannot do. Therefore, they won't. Therefore, their ratings will still suck and they will still be bottom dwellers.

The trouble is if you grill the Obastardbots even just once... they won’t come back to your show.
That’s how Bath-house Barry rolls.

Here is the show’s formula:
Have two liberal politicians, one left-wing “journalist”, and then mix in a RINO Republican and a guy like the “Conservative” David Brooks and call it bipartisan panel that fairly analysis the issues.
And they wonder why no one watches this charade?

Russert at least had class. He was a lib, but he made an effort to be fair at times.

“Turness could find a cure for the shows blues by raiding ABC News Good Morning America host, George Stephanopoulos, whose contract expires in January, some TV insiders said.”
So take a show that there are not enough liberals to watch and fix it by making it more liberal?

Make the host wear a “pimp” outfit on every show until the ratings improve. If you are going to pimp for the Administration you might as well do it classy.

They already flushed the last of their credibility down the toilet a long time ago and they’ll be the last to ever realize it.
You just can’t ‘fix’ stupid.

And you're right - the Republican or conservative is ALWAYS out numbered.
The solution for NBC to save money is to hire a 'reader' who will read press releases from the White House. Why bother trying to gussie it up to look unbiased? Just read the press releases..
