We Must Finish The Job

Time to REPEAL the 2013 Colorado Anti-Gun Laws...

The Republicans will present bills to repeal HB 1224 Magazine Ban, HB 1228 Gun Tax, and HB 1229 Criminalizing Private Transfer of A Firearm the first week of the 2014 session, opening Jan 8, 2014...

We worked hard to recall Sen. Morse and Sen. Giron, and Sen. Hudak left office to avoid being recalled...Now we must get these laws repealed...

Show up at the Colorado State Capitol Jan 6, 7, and 8 (opening 2014 session, Wed.) and the rest of the week and coming weeks if necessary for The Freedom Rally outside the building and talk to the legislators inside...

Be polite, leave a signed letter, and tell them we will kick them out of office by recall or the Nov 2014 election if these laws are not repealed...

This will be the main political topic of 2014 until these laws are repealed...

See you Coloradans at the Capitol Jan 6, 7, and 8th...

Let's finish the job...

Excerpted from a flyer handed out at the Tanner Gun Show in December...From Grassroots Citizens of Colorado...I believe these are the folks who got Sens. Morse, Giron recalled, and Sen Hudak to flee to avoid being recalled...

Could not find a website for Grassroots Citizens, but lots of related stuff on the 'Net...

Caused Sen Hudak to flee to avoid being recalled...

The libretards called Governor Sarah Palin a quitter when she was financially forced out of office. I think Hudak should be publicized as a quitter.

The recall continues because the Demo-Rats get to appoint her replacement...

Nothing prevents them from replacing Hudak with...Hudak...Except the recall threat...

She’s not well liked and only won her seat by a thin margin; because the conservative vote was split between the Republican and a Libertarian...

CO citizens will need to also have a change of governor in order to reverse the gun suppression laws.

The Republicans will present bills to repeal...

To be fair, even presenting bills to undo the worst of the damage is more than I expect of the Vichy Republicans. May it be so!

So you're saying the bad guys ran her off?

I will be voting for Trancredo again. The rePublicans will have to show me more than they have been. This anti conservative anti tea party crap will have to end. I am leaning more and more for the Libertarian side since the rePublicans have left me.

One democrat sued her 19 times and lost all 19 lawsuits. The state of alaska would not help her against frivolous lawsuits. Lawyers cost her millions and she could not afford to stay in office.

I'm not sure who "Grassroots Citizens of Colorado is but it does not seem to be related to the group that did the recalls of Sens. Morse, Giron. That group has disbanded and formed a new group, Colorado Second Amendment Association (or “C2AA”). www.colorado2a.org Regardless who it is, it's great that the pressure will continue! :)

Last email from BFDF:

To our supporters and fellow citizens

The Basic Freedom Defense Fund was started by a handful of politically naïve Coloradans for a single stated purpose – to bring about our state’s first recall elections in response to a direct attack on our Second Amendment rights. Only three short months ago, we did exactly that. We made history by unseating the Senate President and inspiring other recall movements around the state - and now even around the country - to stand up and hold their elected representatives accountable.

However, we said from the start that we would do what was needed and then get back to our normal lives. That time is here.

The BFDF is closing its organizational doors. Several of us have already resigned and returned to normal, day-to-day lives. Those who remain are in the process of settling final debts, closing down the website and filing our last round of paperwork. This will be the last email your receive from us and we want to use the opportunity to thank you one last time for all the time, money and passion you spent in helping us find some measure of justice for Colorado.

Of course, with that being said… a few of us are not done fighting quite yet.

Colorado was targeted for the legislative assault we faced in 2013 because we were vulnerable. Our greatest defense – an engaged citizenry – was weakened through years of “leaving it to the pros.” We assumed that other organizations and parties, local or national, were on duty and living up to their claims of vigilantly protecting our rights. But they weren’t. And we fell.

There can be no more farming out of our freedoms’ defenses. The time has come for citizens to stand up on their own and start protecting what is theirs. No one else owns your rights but you and no one has a greater vested interest in protecting them than you do. We want to help you do it.

We have formed a new organization, the Colorado Second Amendment Association (or “C2AA”), for the purpose of educating Coloradans about our Constitutional rights and providing the tools, resources and support Coloradans need to defend them. We’ll keep tabs on the legislature and alert our fellow citizens to laws or regulations that threaten our gun rights. We’ll help you learn about the political process and work with your own legislators to ensure that your voice is heard at the Capitol. And, most importantly, we will empower Coloradans to stand together by building a community of modern day minute men and women to act as our eyes, ears and voices at Town Halls and rallies in every corner of our state.

Of course, defending our rights is only half the battle – appreciating them is the other and that will have an equal focus. We’ll solidify and expand the Colorado gun owning community by promoting firearms training, from beginner safety instruction to concealed carry education to tactical and competitive tips. We’ll provide further networking opportunities by connecting certified instructors, FFL holders and range proprietors with our members. And we’ll offer an annual event where members can further cement their ties with fellow Colorado shooters, attend educational seminars to learn more about our rights and heritage and get hands-on introduction to the latest in shooting tactics and technology.

Through the Colorado Second Amendment Association, we want to inspire our fellow Coloradans to stand up for themselves and to stand together to protect – and regain – our Second Amendment rights in this state.

If you want to join with us and help to build this community, we invite you to click on this link and sign up for our newsletter. You can also subscribe at www.colorado2a.org at any point. But please remember, we keep our word and - unlike certain currently unemployed politicians - we respect people’s wishes. Unless you choose to sign up, you won’t be hearing from us (though we expect you’ll be hearing about us) again. We hope we can count on your support.

With our sincerest thanks,

The Basic Freedom Defense Fund & The Colorado Second Amendment Association

She never got voted out if that is what you are getting at with undefeated. She never lost in court with the frivolous law suits.

But she left the office, didn’t she?

Yeah, that’s pretty much “run off”.

It isn’t quitting in the strictest sense, but it sure as hell is getting run off.

She focused her fire on the leftist attack, emerged undefeated from it, cost her state nothing from it, all of it basically on her own.
Of course you have to be someone above a PDS simpleton to see the strategy and how well it worked out.

Wallow away in your simpleness little Buckaroo, invite Karl Rove and Chrissie Matthews to your pig party in the slop, LOL!

How about admit she got run off and appreciate her from that point forward?

No, no.. that won’t work. Doesn’t line up with the sanctification.

Never a failing has she.

I kind of like what this Freeper posted about her:

"Sarah Palin and Ted Cruz are two of the strongest tea party leaders stepping forward to-date. If either one of these two patriots decides to run for the presidency, I'm sure he or she will be the strongest conservative running and this site will support him or her to the HILT. And I'm sure the vast majority of the grassroots patriot tea party movement will be right there with us."

What have you to say about that?

Oh, I can supply a link if you want one.

Yes, Palin was run out of office.

Unfortunately, conservatives aren’t as tenacious as their political adversaries. Palin had the added disadvantage of contempt from within the Republican Party that refused to assist.
