Somewhere far, far to the south where it is summer, a group of global warming scientists are trapped in the Antarctic ice. If you missed the irony of that situation, it is because much of the mainstream media has glossed over that rather inconvenient irony. As an example here is an Associated Press story that avoids mentioning the real mission of the scientists aboard the icebound Russian ship:
The Snow Dragon icebreaker came within 7 miles (11 kilometers) of the Russian ship MV Akademik Shokalskiy, which has been stuck since Christmas Eve, but had to retreat after the ice became too thick, said expedition spokesman Alvin Stone.
The Akademik Shokalskiy, which has been on a research expedition to Antarctica, got stuck Tuesday after a blizzard's whipping winds pushed the sea ice around the ship, freezing it in place. The ship wasn't in danger of sinking, and there are weeks' worth of supplies for the 74 scientists, tourists and crew on board, but the vessel cannot move.
So what was the exact mission of these scientists? AP is rather vague about this reporting only:

Some semi-prominent idiot on twitter was saying all this ice is caused by global warming, because there’s now less ice on land and subsequently more in the ocean...

My Schadenfreude is overflowing at this amusing moment in this Antarctic summertime.
The earth stopped warming seventeen years ago, yet the warmists are still running around worrying about ice caps melting. Something tells me that the irony of this present situation has completely escaped them.
Remember that a flotilla of yachts was stuck in the Arctic sea ice this past summer. They thought they could navigate the northwest passage because global warming had melted so much ice, but the ice grew instead.
That story made headline news around the world, but it never phased the true believers, who are now stuck in the ice again.
Isn’t this the same thing that happens, when these “GLOBAL WARMING” ding bats hold a meeting here. The day before, It snows like hell. How, they hope to prove that “GLOBAL WARMING” is real by going to Antarctica, and guess what, it gets so cold that their ship is ICE BOUND. It is my wish, that these people are all vegetarians, and the only thing left on board ship, is meat of all kinds. Now, I’m sure that GOD has a good sense of humor.

Potatoe AND tomatoe used to be a standard English spelling of those plants. I’ ve seen them spelled that way in eighteenth and nineteenth century books.

That list I posted was (I think) from the author of “Red Hot Lies”, Christopher Horner.
Basically, they can (and do) blame everything on it. Frigid temperatures are just another result of it.
It would be hilarious not only if you didn’t realize just how close they came to pulling it off before people got wise to it, but also that you know they are never going to sleep and are waiting for the next vulnerable opening to gain another foothold from a different perspective.
Their end goal (as Chirac pointed out) is a global governance. They might do it via global warming. It might have been global cooling. It might next be water or overpopulation.
But it is their end goal, not idiotic climate manipulation.
Aw, yes. Will you lift a parting glass with me should they all freeze to death there?
