A former Minneapolis, Minnesota mayoral candidate was mercilessly beaten up by two teenage girls after having his cellphone stolen at a Mall of America Starbucks.
Mark Andrew came in second to Betsy Hodges in the most competitive mayoral race Minneapolis has seen in a generation.
The former Hennepin County Commissioner had just hung up the phone and was in the middle of writing his New Year's resolutions Thursday evening when a young man came up and swiped his iPhone 4S off the cafe table.
'I was targeted because the phone was out and I'm 63 years old, and I'm sure they thought that I was easy pickins,' he told the Star Tribune.
Not one to sit ideally by while a wrong is committed, Andrew got up and chased after the man but was stopped by his two teenage girl friends.
'If somebody is gonna do that to me or somebody else, I'm not a bystander by nature I'll go in and fight,' he told CBS Minnesota.
The women, one of them armed with a billy club, didn't let Mr Andrew get away and mercilessly beat him over the head until he started bleeding profusely.
When Mr Andrew fought back, one of the women,18-year-old Letaija Shapree Cutler-Cain from Brooklyn Park, gouged his face with her fingernails and said: 'I'm going to kill you! Let me go or I'm going to kill you'.
Mr Andrew says it took about five minutes for police to arrive and that hundreds of shoppers witnessed the incident, but no one intervened because 'they were too afraid' and he called that a 'sad commentary'.

In an interview with the Star Tribune, Mr Andrew says he walked into his home and lifted his fist in the air and said: ‘We won’.
He says he’s going to continue to stay involved in the case against the two women who beat him up.
‘In my estimation, these kids are damaged,’ he told TwinCities.com. ‘They have to be held accountable. The juvenile may be too far gone. She was extremely violent. I believe she was trying to kill me, and her actions supported her statement. She was swinging as hard as she could’
The money quote and very shocking from a liberal - “she may be too far gone.” If you or I said that, we would be labeled racists or uncaring, but sadly it is a true statement - many of these kids are too far gone.
That is a money quote - a rare moment of truth from a liberal who just got mugged in the worst way.
I’m betting he was the only one at his table. That leaves 270 degrees unprotected when you lay your phone on the table. And nothing like being distracted looking down and writing in a busy public area. Mark, buddy, you are a mark.

I have to be very careful about displaying my phone. There are too many shady people in this town who are on the lookout for prey. I even ran into a couple coming back from church on Christmas Eve. One can’t be too careful.

This was a well-planned operation. They scouted the place for quite some time. They used two female blockers. One of them evidently armed with a baton. These were serious thieves. This guy was lucky he didn’t get killed or blinded. The best thing is to have the fear of the legal system in people to prevent this sort of thing from happening. These people don’t have that fear. Why? A three person operation to steal a cell phone? Methinks they may have been looking to find Mark’s house.
This may interfere with Lataijee’s chances at a scholarship to Harvard or Stanford.
I saw Mark’s graduation pictures from the school of hard knocks. Very impressive. He was allegedly beaten. Then again his head may have spontaneously begun to ooze blood. Lataijee’s friend Shatonya says that the Ivy League scholarship is in the bag.
So Mark, how is rich white liberalism, global warming hoaxes & pandering to black thugs (male & females) working out for you these days? Personally I would like to see more rich white liberals across the country get the sh_t beat out of them by black thugs. It would serve them right to be on the receiving end for a change! Maybe they might have a change of heart about 0dumb0sh_t & Holder as well.
