Uncle Sam, always generous to a fault with taxpayers' money, doled out about $108 billion in Social Security benefits to the dead in 2012. Give or take a few billion, over a decade that's about $1 trillion going to folks who crossed the River Styx. Or more likely their kin, who may or may not take portions of the proceeds to decorate their loved ones' graves.

If I go first, I fully expect my wife to take advantage of my higher rates instead of staying with her smaller amount. Not what the article is about, but when you pay into a system by coercion, with a promise of a payback, you might as well take advantage of it. Especially since so many deadbeats/illegals reap the benefits they never paid for.

claiming gender uncertainly seems like the new way for white men to game the system ... you can even order Victoria’s Secret underwear by mail in case the NSA IRS and Google check on you
good luck, tootsie!
Don’t get me started on SS... My parents died 18 months apart having just reached age 65. Everything they paid into SS over their working lives vanished into the black hole that is SS. It ain’t right.
So arrest and fine everyone who cashed those checks.
