Texas tea party favorite Sen. Ted Cruz tells ABC's Jonathan Karl on "This Week" that he has no regrets about the 16-week federal government shutdown.

In fact, he blames President Barack Obama and Democratic leaders, ABC News reports in a story on its website.

Federal workers back to work after 16-day shutdown

Since the ABC News report (on its website) now shows an error message - poof! all gone - but it's still being reported at the Houston Chronicle.

Yup. Obama/Reid threatened to shut down the government if they didn’t get their way. And they followed through. But the weakling RINOs wimped out as usual.

Ted is exactly correct, and everybody knows it. Most don’t have the nerve to say it, so puppy-whipped to either cheerlead for the Obamination or give up your right of expression, so those who hate you (anyway) wont be openly mad at you.

Government “SLOW DOWN” is a much more accurate phrase.

But why worry about the truth.

Senate Democrats led by Harry Reid shut down the federal government. Obama endorsed and implemented the shut down.

The Republican dominated House did its job to keep the federal government running by sending bill after bill to the Senate which funded the entire federal government except Obamacare. The irresponsible Democrat dominated Senate refused to do its duty to keep the federal government running. And Obama gleefully implemented a shut down crafted to “punish” America instead of serving it by maintaining minimum essential functions of federal government.

Were we still a Constitutional Republic, our citizens would be howling for Democrats’ blood and impeachment & removal of that illegal alien in the White House!

Let me guess. Na, I don’t need to. It was Dingy Harry Reid who refused to consider anything that came from the House.

Its obvious to anyone watching that Obama and the Dims caused the shutdown. But to even the dimmest bulb it should seem logical that the party with the most to gain politically from the shutdown would be the party most suspect in causing it.

The Houston Chronicle and every other MSM outlet was telling us over & over the GOP was gonna take it in the throat. Why would anyone believe the republicans went ahead then and caused it to happen?

Reid had the full backing of the poser in chief who made it clear he would not negotiate. Dictatorial behavior at it’s worst.

The Media would have you believe that one Senator, a member of the Minority Party in the Senate, has the power to shut down the Federal Government.

Meanwhile, they have convinced enough people that the President and the Majority Leader of the Senate have no such power.

You can't fix Stupid, because it doesn't require fixing if you're a Democrat. The Stupid follow them slavishly.

Obama’ bonus check from Soros for gettin ‘er dun was probably in his bank account the day he got the ACA passed and he doesn’t want to have to refund it...

In fact, he blames President Barack Obama and Democratic leaders, ABC News reports in a story on its website.

He is, of course, correct. The House has the Constitutional responsibility to provide a budget which Democrats never allowed to come to the Senate floor for a vote. The shutdown is therefore ENTIRELY their fault.

The comments at the “This Week” link for this story are almost all anti-Cruz. I read through them trying to find why they disagreed with Ted’s statements, but alas, could find no such thing - only hideous name calling, a typical lib reaction. Methinks their inability to articulate a reasonable argument is telling and they are in extreme denial.

Ted Cruz did a real good job. Jonathan Kyle did everything he could to snare him. JMHO

On the plus side, the Ted Cruz segment did not try to diminish his popularity or accomplishments. They did say that Cruz was second to only the Pope in some "Man of the Year" vote.

They are vile.
