I’m betting Bill’s popularity is rather short-lived.

It will be interesting to see how long it takes the MSM to turn on him.

Wholly agreed. His mouth has written so many checks he can't possibly cash, I've lost count.

They will turn on him when he turns Conservative or doesn’t kiss Obama’s ass properly. Other that that, hell will freeze over first.

Good.

New Yorkers don’t deserve anything at all.

Reminds me of the old joke......a guy in the circus was complaining how he hated following the horses aroound with a shovel, scooping up the manure. His buddy says "well if you hate it so much, why don't you quit?"

"What....and give up show business?"

Maybe it will keep some of the out-of-towners away.

“The liberalism causes the mental illness.”

It seems likely that thinking like a liberal further damages the mind, but I think that liberalism is itself a mental illness.

I hope de Blasio gets each and every one of his initiatives passed.

Good start with the horses!..Maybe he can commission electric cars with horse bodies and maybe a single horn on the forehead...or maybe hydrogen fuel cell ones that emit puffs of water vapor...rainbow colored vapor.

The people of New York City deserve and have earned their entry into this socialist paradise. They deserve every tax and fee they are going to get.

The exodus from the state has begun...can’t wait for the city to start bleeding Yorkers....

What a moron, he will be a complete disaster and everything he does will effect the state in one way or another.

They’ll turn on him because as a Mayor he can’t possibly fulfill his campaign pledge to “fix” income inequality.

You mean when the US Taxpayers bail out NYC again, it will effect EVERYONE.

At first I thought this was satire.

Mayor-elect DeBozo is going to be a nightmare.

What’s horrifying is that he is destroying businesses of regular people without a second thought. How I hate liberals.

Striking a blow at affluence (or the appearance of) is probably a secondary consideration/added benefit.

Bill won the Dem primary partly on appealing to PETA and other animal rights fanatics, who WILL vote single issue, by promising to get rid of the carriages.

Keep in mind that the real danger (or, to non NYC Conservatives, the benefit) of Deblasio is that he’s in no way beholden to the wealthy Manhattan Liberal power elite which would otherwise act as a political check on his extremism.

so the horses can stop being slaves to humans and go to a slaughter house?
Sounds like PETA would approve

De Blasio said he would work with existing drivers to set them up with alternative vehicles to ferry tourists around Central Park.
