WASHINGTON (AP) - Only hours before the law was to take effect, a Supreme Court justice on Tuesday blocked implementation of part of President Barack Obama's health care law that would have forced some religion-affiliated organizations to provide health insurance for employees that includes birth control.

Justice Sonia Sotomayor's decision came after a flurry of efforts by Catholic-affiliated groups from around the nation. Those groups had rushed to the federal courts to stop Wednesday's start of portions of the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the 30+ lawsuits pending against The Sebaceous Cyst.

As a government grows it is bound to collide with groups or individuals that will oppose mandates as a matter of conscience. The big question is will the Supreme Court allow a conscience exemption for this mandate.

Starting tomorrow they were going to have to start fining The Little Sisters of the Poor. Possibly seizing their assets and putting old folks and nuns on the street. Maybe a bridge to far for even Sotomyer.

...”The government is “temporarily enjoined from enforcing against applicants the contraceptive coverage requirements imposed by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act,” Sotomayor said in the order”.....

Is that just for the Nuns or Religious Groups....or is it also for those who who oppose this mandate? I don’t like the sounds of the word “temporary”....but at least it’s stopped it appears, for now.

....”it is bound to collide with groups or individuals that will oppose mandates as a matter of conscience. The big question is will the Supreme Court allow a conscience exemption for this mandate”....

My question exactly.....no doubt it’s another fly in the ointment of Obamacare that could continue to bring it down altogether.

The 10nth court rejected The Little Sisters of the Poor appeal on New Years Eve. Black hearted basterds. A lot of those nuns are Latinos.
