WASHINGTON (AP) - Only hours before the law was to take effect, a Supreme Court justice on Tuesday blocked implementation of part of President Barack Obama's health care law that would have forced some religion-affiliated organizations to provide health insurance for employees that includes birth control.
Justice Sonia Sotomayor's decision came after a flurry of efforts by Catholic-affiliated groups from around the nation. Those groups had rushed to the federal courts to stop Wednesday's start of portions of the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare.

Shocked!
Absolutely!
I wonder if it has anything to do with the 30+ lawsuits pending against The Sebaceous Cyst.
other Circuit Court news
Whatever the reason I’m still surprised.
If she didn’t grant, next appeal was to the full court - prolly was 4 votes to stay. 4 is all it takes ...

Is that just for the Nuns or Religious Groups....or is it also for those who who oppose this mandate? I don’t like the sounds of the word “temporary”....but at least it’s stopped it appears, for now.
Sotomayor is a Sebacean? Probably related to Captain Crais as she is no Aeryn Sun....
....”it is bound to collide with groups or individuals that will oppose mandates as a matter of conscience. The big question is will the Supreme Court allow a conscience exemption for this mandate”....
My question exactly.....no doubt it’s another fly in the ointment of Obamacare that could continue to bring it down altogether.
I had, for the first time ever, a sebaceous cyst get infected 2 months ago. A horrible experience, 2 diff. antibiotics to kill it, had to be open and drained for 10 days....
But not 1/100th as bad as Kathleen..........
Sebelius behind a "Final Suture Line":
The 10nth court rejected The Little Sisters of the Poor appeal on New Years Eve. Black hearted basterds. A lot of those nuns are Latinos.
