On Morning Joe Monday, NBC’s chief medical editor Dr. Nancy Snyderman, after arguing that the “biggest fix” for the American healthcare system would be single-payer, proudly declared that she had forced her own kids to sign up for Obamacare as their “patriotic duty.”
Snyderman was brought on to discuss a number of issues, but when hosts Harold Ford, Jr. and Wes Moore turned the discussion to Obamacare, Snyderman revealed just how far left her expert opinion leans, using the failures of the ACA as a means to push for a single-payer system.
Ford: As a physician, what’s the biggest fix that can be done to ensure that better care, affordable care gets to people that don't have it?
Snyderman: I think there should be a single-payer system. And, increasingly, you're seeing physicians in their late 50s, 60s, and 70s, who are saying, “You know what, we got it wrong. We should have taken Medicare, expanded it, and done it smarter. Increase the bottom line for doctors so they don’t feel like they’re being nickeled and dimed with 10% less than Medicare, 5%... Docs just want to be reimbursed a fair amount for hard work. This is making the terrain much, much, much, more difficult.
With Snyderman’s comments about Obamacare turning increasingly critical, Moore stepped in and tweaked the direction of the conversation to a more solution-based talking point:
Moore: You know what's interesting? So you talk about your kids and you talk about... one of the big challenges for Obamacare and the rollout so far has been how do we get the young and how do we get the healthy to sign up for healthcare? Which was a dynamic prior to Obamacare. How do we get the young and how do we get the healthy... That's the reason they came up with the plan.
Snyderman: So I made my kids sign up, because I just said this is your patriotic duty.

Why are doctors so greedy? Why don't they just recognize that health care is a human right and act accordingly? It's the right thing to do.
I love certain keywords that enter the lexicon and become standardized. Ive never heard anyone discuss “single payer” until Obama came into office. A true “single payer” option would be the consumer paying for all his health costs. But I guess they cant get away with saying “socialized” or “nationalized”. Too many shivers would be sent up the spine of America if they refer to something as what it truly is.
It’s stories like this that prove just how out of touch with reality these people are. If democratic hopes for the success of the law are based on people paying 50 to 350 percent more for insurance to fulfill some warped sense of patriotism, then progressives are dumber than I thought.
They may be dumb but the RINOS will go along and help fix OBAMACARE..and not repeal it..bet on it..maybe after 2014 elections things might change..think tea party
I’m not worried about “fix” vs “repeal” as long as the law is gutted. Some republicans in purple states will have to play a game of semantics due to media bias and yellow journalism. Fact of life. Make no mistake, democrats are the real problem, not rinos. Not a single republican voted for this thing.

Single payer will not result in MDs being compensated fairly for their work. It will result in rationing.
The only fair system is one in which people pay the bulk of their costs themselves, and depend on insurance only for catastrophic coverage. The less that insurance covers, the less expensive medical care becomes. That is because when you use insurance to pay for everything, you also pay for the processing of the payments and administration of the insurance plan.

Snyderman is doing a good job of being a faithful Obungu stooge but here is a good story about her and her daughter (adopted)
