Rose Parade or "Gay Pride" Parade? (entry #82)
Washington Times ^ | Dec 31, 2013 | Jennifer Kerns

Posted on 01/01/2014 7:26:09 AM PST by Innovative

Organizers are allowing progressives to parade their political agendas around and morph a historic parade into an event more closely resembling a gay pride parade than the Rose Parade we have come to know.

This Wednesday on New Year’s Day, the Rose Parade will showcase a gay wedding being officiated LIVE atop a float shaped like a giant wedding cake. The float is sponsored by the AIDS Healthcare Foundation.

There is nothing unusual about gay activists wanting to promote their cause. What is unusual, however, is the fact that national TV networks during daytime family programming will allow a political agenda to be pushed and will showcase two men engaging in a romantic kiss.

IMPORTANT to know when to turn off the TV: The homosexual wedding is entry #82. I found out, because they got an award and award recipients are listed at the Rose Parade website.

Float Award Winners

On the list it's the 5th from the bottom: Isabella Coleman Award for "Best Presentation of Color & Color Harmony Through Floral Use" goes to the entry of the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, title: "Love Is The Best Protection", entry no. 82.

It's too bad that there seem to be some nice floats coming afterwards that people will miss as they are not likely to turn the RP back on.

Make sure you are not eating while watching the parade...

It will be interesting to see all the social media chatter from around the country. I’m trying to picture the reaction of my in-laws from Kansas who likely will be watching the parade with their kids.

Warning to turn off TV at:

“ANIMATION Best Animation & Motion Underground Service Alert 811 Protecting Your Dream, Right In Your Own Backyard Fiesta Parade Floats 77 “

When you see the Best Animation Float, it’t time to get ready to turn off the TV.

Or just skip the Rose Parade altogether, which is what I plan to do, to let them know we don’t like this forced upon us.

I cant imagine what these progressive poofters think that are hing to gain by raising the IRE of most of America like this.

thier audacious nonsense float represents an Unwanted Popup in an otherwise reasonable parade

do adama and steve really deserve a place in a parade that for the most part Celebrates...American VALUES??

The Left is contaminating every decent venue with their propaganda. If the Rose Parade is going to be part of this politcally-correct effort to subvert the morals of the nation, it should be relegated to the dust bin of history. OR it should be forced to represent the politically-incorrect side by allowing floats sponsored by the NRA, for example, depicting the Second Amendment freedom to keep and bear arms.

Start the New Year with a stark reminder that America is now in a decadent downward spiral. Those flowers may be beautiful and smell nice, but sadly the rot is very apparent.

Sponsored by the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, while 65% of all new HIV/AIDS cases in the are among that disordered 2% of the population, men who have sex with men.

Makes no sense, but, that’s the intent - abolish all forms of traditional and moral order.

It's incomprehensible to me that anyone would consider it a hardship or sacrifice to deny themselves the “pleasure” of watching yet another institution being made into a paean of worship of the sodomites. How hard, really, truly, can it be to skip it and find something else to do? How could anyone who opposes this perversion be willing to overlook it (and you just know the commentary is going to be permeated with squeals of delight over the sodomites) just so they can see a few floats?

title: “Love Is The Best Protection”, entry no. 82.

The title seems to be an allusion to avoiding condom usage.

It also is dangerous medical disinformation, suggesting that monogamy is a protection against AIDS, when it isn’t if a partner is already infected, or shares needles, or is sexually unfaithful.

Evil now struts boldly on the media screen. And yet even this filth is not enough to satisfy those whose souls are dead in degeneracy. They will be demand even more exposure for their degeneracy, believing that somehow such filth will be transformed to normative behavior ... but only other dead souls will ever accept God damned degeneracy as normal.

Jay Leno said "If God doesn't destroy Hollywood Boulevard, he owes Sodom and Gomorrah an apology."

Good observation. That Cup of Wrath of His must be getting pretty full by now, but unlike with S&G, apparently there must still be a few righteous, praying souls left in California to make a deal and/or Jesus is as patient, loving and forgiving as claimed.

All those people living on very unstable ground, yet there's not much repenting going on. Instead, it's the exact opposite with attitude.

Makes me wonder how much time is left on the "Time of Grace and Mercy" clock?

It's going to get very unpleasant when that allotted time runs out.

We live in a politicallu correct world now.

If the Rose Parade officials had denied the entry of the homosexual wedding, they would have faced the full blown meltdown of all the gay and liberal groups for discrimination.

And their trump card would have been that homosexual marriage is legal in California now. Since homosexual marriage is legal, how can anyone object, would have been the liberal wailing if they had been denied permission to be there.

I just saw a piece of the parade, and a commercial came on for the Oscars. Ellen de Generes was dressed in a man’s tuxedo plugging the Oscars.

Why do many lesbians go out of their way to have a mannish appearance???

I am afraid you are correct, but the organizers should have had enough backbone to reject it anyway since this is broadcast all over the country.

“The Tournament’s Float Entries Committees oversees the selection process for Rose Parade floats, with the organization’s Executive Committee having final approval over all entries.”

Better yet, do not watch the parade or the Rose Bowl. The media will just jumble the numbers together and make it appear like all who watched the game approved of the prior parade.

We live in a politically correct world now. People are afraid of taking on these homosexual and liberal groups. Afraid of lawsuits and afraid of perceived bad publicity if they ban homosexual groups.

The Duck Dynasty case was a rare case of someone not giving in to the demands of these pressure groups. These pressure groups are used to getting their way, hand in hand with a compliant media to spread their messages.
