“When a handful of people [I assume he is referring to the tea party coalition in the House of Representatives] can control a larger number of people, to repeal a law that has been passed by the House, the Senate, and declared constitutional by the courts - and they campaign on the issue that it should be repealed- this is past Civics 101. This is illness,” said the Congressman who has inexplicably remained in office since 1971. (Whoa…Talk about mental illness!)

The majority of the American People want obamneycare overturned, and the vast majority of people who are uninsured - those who the law is aimed at "helping" don't want it. Funny how the democrats are all for mob rule except when the mob wants to be left alone.

So, if something is bad (as Obamacare clearly is), it can never be repealed if it has been approved by the Senate, House and the Supreme Court?

Civics 101? Has Mr. Rangel ever heard of Prohibition? Women's Suffrage? Slavery? Segregation?

And when an even smaller group of people can commit federal crimes on a daily basis with no fear of prosecution it says our nation has an illness.

Ah 'tis the Congressman who is ill...plus pushing Socialism over the Republic for 22 terms in office....making "serving the people of Harlem" a career.....term limits come to mind....the Tea Party of course believes the Original Republic was just fine AND they also believe in the United States Constitution 24/7.....Mr. Rangel only mentions the United States Constitution when it will help him.

The fugitive slave act was passed by the House, the Senate and upheld by the courts. Was it an illness for those who desired to repeal it?

Jessy Jackson’s son is a sick puppy. Clinton was a serial sexual abuser. Democrats are pathological liars. Me thinks the Tea Party is afflicted with the same disease that the slaves that revolted under Caesar in Rome had.

Perhaps we should follow Mr. Rangel's personal example and ignore the (tax) law.

... a law that has been passed by the House, the Senate

With not a single Republican vote & by Harry Reid's trickery to get it through the Senate ... AFTER Massachusetts of all places elected Scott Brown to be the 'vote against'.

.. and declared constitutional by the courts

A court that was going to vote against until Roberts had to contort the law like a pretzel and rewrite it to declare it somehow 'constitutional' ....

... and they campaign on the issue that it should be repealed

Because the majority of Americans don't want this law and it is HURTING people badly and some people, who HAD insurance and were paying for it themselves (without government interference) as of 12/31/2013, will die for lack of it after 01/01/2014 ....

Hey Charlie ..... to quote a comment I saw elsewhere that I think is excellent:

"Let me ask you Obama trolls several questions. First what sort of government does that sort of thing to its own people? Second, what is your own moral responsibility to these people, who after all are your fellow Americans? Finally, do you even care or do you think anything justifies your desire to "transform" America?

If Obama (and YOU, Charlie) had a shred of decency, he'd resign for what he did to these people. Instead, though he'll blame the insurance companies. Or Bush. Or global warming. But he will never take responsibiity for this absolute outrage--which is only going to get worse".

The same kind of idiots who repeatedly vote for Sheila Jackson Lee, Maxine Waters, John Conyers, Eddie Bernice Johnson, etc. I believe that most voters in those districts do not care how stupid or corrupt their representative is as long as they are the correct skin color and are seen as sticking it to “the man”.

Or even the Medicare Catastrophic Coverage Act Of 1988, which was quickly repealed when those who were supposed to benefit from it got the bills for it. When old geezers are chasing Congressman Rostenkowski down the street, you know it isn't popular.
